Well, not my choice personally, but nothing. Except that it is probably choice #2 when it comes to buying speakers strictly on name recognition. That's how I got my dad to buy a 5.1 HT Klipsch setup over Bose (hehe).

Gear mentioned in this thread:

Granted there is some name recognition with Klipsch but I really feel they excel in home theater. In particular the reference line. I will concede they can be harsh at times with certain types of music but I still wouldn't trade my setup. Sorry to go off topic with the thread.

Therse are the Bose Beaters. Energy. Canadian company. Used to be sold mainstream somewhat. Sound like a real speaker down to well not very low. But do sound and look good and play loud (90 db) for a satellite speaker. And only 7 1/2" tall! $120 each in black. Add a real $500 subwoofer like hsuresearch and a $400 receiver. Good to go.

Wasn't familiar with that speaker but it appears to go for 230 a piece and up....where do you get five of them for 500?

I like the NHT recommendation for bookshelves.

The Martin Logan Motion bookshelves are nice as well.
