A couple of separate amp questions

One, has anybody ever used these single mono blocks by Jamo.

Two. If I were just to put a separate amp on my center channel but let the rest run off the receiver would the sound be different?

Why not pick up an Emotiva XPA-3 next time it comes on sale. You can power the LCR with that amp.

I guess it's possible for your center channel to acquire a slightly different sound because it's using a different amp than the left and right speakers, but it seems unlikely (to me) and the sonic character difference of the center speaker itself vs the left/right speakers may have a larger impact.
