I only checked it once and if I remember correctly it said something about "processing", then the next thing I knew, it arrived. Most rebate things I've been involved with seem to take 8 to 12 weeks, and this one seemed like about half that time. It does seem like yours should be showing up on their site by now, though.

Thanks for the response. I'm gonna call tomorrow and just see if they know anything.

Ours arrived on Tuesday...mailed it in February 20th. So it took one month. The few times I checked their website in always said it was not found.

You know how it goes... yours will probably be delivered right after you get off the phone with them!

Hope you get it soon, because the 3D version is a real treat...

I can't believe nothing has been "leaked" about the biggest grossing movie of all time. Makes me think something bigger is the works like the Extended Collectors Edition Deluxe Mega Eye Popper 2012 Release. Or something like that... Come on, it is almost 3 years old for crying out loud.

Like I said, it would be crazy for Cameron to put out a retail 3d blu of Titanic - a conversion - and not put out the natively-shot Avatar.

What does one have to do with the other?

I got my 3D Avatar Blu-ray disc last week, Took 6 weeks and it did show on the website as approved for delivery.

Cameron won't possibly release Avatar 3D to compete with the much hype about Titanic 3D conversion. He knows that he can milk the most out of a niche market like 3D by promoting one film at a time. We on the other hand are willing suckers to be had.
I don't think one is competeing against the other for sales frankly. Both are completely different films and whilst some will want one or the other, others will want both.

Growth in the 3D market is required and James Cameron knows this. I think he would want to see both released for sale ASAP.

I seriously doubt Cameron has any control at all over an Avatar 3D blu-ray release to the general public.

Well he did on telling the distrubtor if it made over 2 billion they were not to put any trailers only the movie. So maybe he does have the rights. Not to mention Disney went to Cameron with a deal for the plans on a 400 million dollar Avatar World at Animal Kingdom. Now that I think about, yeah he has full rights to everything Avatar.

Finally i received my Avatar 3D copy after a month of waiting. I bought my Panasonic 310 3D player back in October and i didn't even know there was even a promotion until last month. Thankfully i kept the panasonic box in my attic after checking avsforum.com and finding out about the promotion.

Glad your 3D Avatar disc has arrived. It would have been a real bummer to find out about it too late and miss out on your free copy. I've seen that disc going for as much as $125 dollars on eBay. It's also the best 3D disc that I own out of the 15 or so 3D discs in my video library.

Panasonic, in Canadian based Best Buy outlets, is offering a 3D Avatar Blue-Ray disc and 4 pairs of 3D glasses with the purchase of a 47" Panny LED 3DTV, in this weeks flyer. That exclusivity deal is obviously not over yet, at least not in the great White North. The offer expires on 5 April 2012. Cheers.

When Panasonic was in Egypt's land...let my Avatar goooo!

Disney is projecting a $200 million loss on this movie.

Old news and WRONG MOVIE! This is Avatar, Not JOHN CARTER! Like comparing Smurfs to Star Wars.

Wow, just saw how much ppl are putting this movie for sale on eBay. Crazy! Anyhow, I can't wait for it to come out on 3D. Hopefully, when it does, alot of companies will be bidding against each other for the sale and bringing down the prices a bit, to say $24.99 or something reasonable like that. Those $34.99 per movie are way too expensive. Maybe breaking out the 3D movie only and not grouping it with the original bluray and digital content discs together.

Is the Panasonic promotion still running? I just bought a Panasonic 3D TV and BluRay, and would love to get in on anything still out there.

Should be a claim form with either the TV or BluRay player. If not, no its not still going. What I mean is the actual promo is over.

Disney would need permission for the intellectual property. If Fox is not in control over the BD, what is Cameron gaining by holding up the general release after the exclusivity agreement with Panasonic ended?

The exclusivity only just ended a few days ago. We were never going to get an announcement right away. But, like I said, I can't imagine we'll get the retail bd3d release of Cameron's natively-shot 3d movie any later than the bd3d of his converted movie.

Nope, no claim form.

The Panasonic product had to be purchased before the end of February to be eligible for the promo copy of Avatar, and the promo form had to be postmarked by the end of March.

From TheDigitalBits....

Here's something else interesting for you Avatar fans: Our own Jeff Kleist just spotted this on Germany's Amazon.de store. The retailers is now taking pre-orders for an Avatar Blu-ray 3D combo set for release in Germany on 12/24. That means you can likely expect the U.S. release around the same time.
