Yup, this means we'll be getting it in the States around that time. Bad sign if the DE release only includes the theatrical cut, though. I held off on getting the extended collector's edition because I wanted it "future-proof" (don't own a 3dtv yet). Studios do sometimes handle their overseas home video releases differently. Blade Runner, for example, had only The Final Cut in the U.K. Blu.
It's not like disc space would be an issue. Titanic is even longer than Avatar's longest cut, and I'm assuming they're gonna fit that onto a single BD-50 unless they split it up right after "Well, Mr. Ismay, it looks like you may get your headlines" for old times' sake (kidding, kidding).
