Serious question, how come theres a videogame preset but burn in isn't covered?

Says to avoid static images and burn in isn't covered under warranties so to me it doesn't make any sense at all that there would be a GAME mode setting and even a GAME button switch on my Panasonic....that just seems illogical to me.

Not all games have static HUDs, in fact I'd venture that a typical cable network has more static content than many games. Regardless of what you're using the TV for the recommended burn-in avoidance measures (pillar bars, aspect ratio adjustments, mixing content, etc) are the same so the existence of a game mode (which is supposedly for input lag which my game-mode-lacking 2007 Panasonic has none of regardless) is in no way illogical.

FWIW, that 2007 Panasonic probably gets 50% of its use playing HUD filled Xbox games and most of the rest watching sports and other things with channel logos, scoreboards, etc and has no burn in.
