Have fun with it man! I can tell you that you may not need MDF for your build. 3/4" ply may do just fine. Are you planning on 4 separate boxes or combining them somehow?

4 of these in a sealed cab will do just over 110db down to 20hz with less than 100 watts. And thats without any room gain. Should be decent.

Looks great! how do they sound? im really close to pullin the trigger on a few of these.

just for consideration...maybe somebody else was trying to enjoy their sleep and not all folks have the luxury of sleeping during common hours. big bass is awesome...all the way up to the point that it starts disturbing the peace, then it's not cool. i don't know your situation and i'll admit that sometimes there is a "constant complainer" or "neighborhood nanny", but as a first pass, the cops didn't interrupt your enjoyment for their pleasure, they showed up because you were wrecking somebody elses ambience (watching television, homework night, etc).

wouldn't things be so much better if neighbors just talked to neighbors instead of calling the police? imho, calling the police should be a last resort, not a first frick'n phone call. e.g., if your neighbor said to you that you were keeping her child from sleeping, you'd turn the stuff down. problem solved. no cops.

well, i once had a next door neighbor who liked to blast his stuff as much as i liked to blast mine. but that was in college and i was shooting for grades, so sunday night through wednesday night, i had to study hard and the bass was very distracting. i simply shared with him my situation and he actually apologized even though he hadn't done anything wrong and for the whole time that we were neighbors, he kept it turned down sunday through wednesday nights and i never complained when he cranked it at any other time. that used to be called a give-and-get solution, now we call it a win-win.
