Rope lighting stays on with insteon lamp linc?

Anybody using insteon plugin lamp Linc to control rope lighting? For some reason when I shut off the power to the lamp linc plugin the rope lights still glow very dim.. Obviously there is still enough power still being sent through the plug in to the rope lights to turn them on very lightly...
Will this hurt anything if I leave them on(or off in this case) ? Any fix for this?

try an appliance switch. You will loose dimming capability but it might disconnect fully.

You'll get better answers to this on Smarthome's Insteon forum.

But the dimmers are known to leak a little current when off. It doesn't take much to make an LED glow.

I think some people have attached another load to the dimmers to soak up the current; i.e., small ac adapter, etc. to keep the LEDs from glowing.
