Print via "Download This Thread" vs "Show Printable Version"

There is an active thread Comparison of small room acoustic models for home listening spaces that I'd like to have for offline reading in my iPad, pictures/graphs and all.
(some places w/o wi-fi still)

I have 2 methods:
Print via "Download This Thread" or "Show Printable Version" options under the Thread Tools menu.

I get a huge text dump in via the "Download This Thread", its the complete thread.
However, No pictures, formatting & quotes lost

The Show Printable Version keeps pictures/formatting, etc, yet it breaks apart "pages" into 60 posts at a time.
Is this a software limit or some of my setting thing or ?

I'd print it as a pdf file, then read that via iBooks in the iPad...with all my other acosutic stuff I've garnered.

Is there a reason for the 60 posts/page limit?
I'd perfer it to be just 1 big pdf file instead of multiple pdf files....
