Need help with a speaker suggestion

First time poster, long time reader. Let me first start by apologizing as I'm sure this question is asked on this board a million times a week, but I think all situations are different and require different solutions.

I just purchased a new home and want to put together a nice but not outrageous home theater system. I watch lots of movies, some tv, and listen to some music. Probably about 50/30/20.

The room is approx 20'x14'x12'. There is no left wall and the back wall has a large opening on the back right.

I have purchased a Pioneer VSX-1121K and now need to mate up some speakers.

I have a powered sub that I will use for the time being until I can throw some real money into a big sub.

So far I have come up with the following setups, any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Energy:
Center - RC-LCR $280
L/R - RC-10 $560/pr
Surround - CB-10 $250/pr
Total - $1090

NHT:
Center - ThreeC $500
L/R - Absolute Zero $400/pr
Surround - Super Zero 2.0 Mini Monitor $200/pr
Total - $1100

Klipsh:
Center - RC-52 II $360
L/R - RB-51 II $420/pr
Surround - RS-52 II $365/pr
Total - $1145

Energy RC-10s are $280 a pair at Vanns. Where do you live that the RC-10s are more expensive?

I love my RC-10s

with your room opened like it is you might be better off with some high efficent towers like the energy rc-50's at $800 a pair and the rc-lcr to start then add the rears when you can and also a "good" sub something in the lines of an outlaw lfm ex-1. this will make a world of difference in your movie experiance. by the way the rc-10 are 280 a pair not for one at vanns. just my 2 cents

With NHT, I would choose the Classic Two L/R and the
Classic Two center, for the fronts.

Actually if you buy today you can get the RC-10s for $270/pr and the RC-LCR for $250. Vanns has a promotion for Leap Day and if you use the promo code 'LEAP' you get a discount.

Fronts - RC-10 $270/pr
Center - RC-LCR $250
Surround - RC-10 $270/pr (no reason to buy CB-10s for $250, waste of money).

The RC-10s never go for $560/pr so I think you made a mistake earlier.

Not a bad idea either. With the current Leap Day sale you can get RC-70s for $399 ea and then the RC LCR for $250.

That's an awesome deal for $1050.

So I can get:

1 RC-LCR
2 RC-70
2 RC-10
$1320 shipped

or

1 RC-LCR
4 RC-10
$790 shipped

I know this is subjective but are the RC-70s really worth the $530 price difference?

I'm not a huge audiophile and am just looking for a moderate to decent system.

Also not a huge fan of floor speakers but if the RC-70s are WTFLOLAwesome then I could maybe see getting them.

If you listen to a lot of music the RC -70s will be far better than RC-10s. Actually they're just better overall speakers. Larger cabinet, more drivers, fuller sounding.

I cant tell you if it is worth your money but I had the budget to do it I'd get the 70's up front.

imo the 70's are a great deal but again its not my money if you have great fronts and sub as a foundation you'll very unlikly be upgrading any time soon

2 RC-10
$1320 shipped

I was kind of thinking the same thing smasher50 just mentioned, I'm sure my system will be around for a while so I figured I would pony up.
