Listen some guys I've seen get a new year model
by that I mean if Sharp comes out with a new 80" & phases out the 844 for next year , they will send you that newer model
Seen this happen a few times already , it happened this late Spring one of the guys on the 632 thread had a Blob just like yours on his 80" 632 , they said none were in production at the time & Sharp sent him a new/just released @ the Time a NEW 844 No Added cost

there were guys in 2011 who had panels fail on model year 2009's Sharp's & they were given New 2012's .
the above is the reason to BUY the extended warranty from Sharp no 2nd party warranty company will do the above .
