1. I can't find a setting on my Comcast DVR for screen resolution. I went all through the settings screens and didn't see anything. I have a Motorola RNG200N DVR. Anyone able to help me find how to set it to 'Direct"?
2. I tried 3D for the first time this afternoon. Let me set the parameters around which I tried it:
a. The source was a free Comcast On Demand 3D nature special
b. My 3D glasses are Dimensional Optics 3Active glasses ( http://www.dimensionaloptics.com/Product.aspx?l=00010001000100060000&p=A1S01258
What I experienced is what I think you call ghosting (slight double image). It wasn't severe but it definitely affected the clarity of the 3D image. So I am trying to figure out why: Could it be the source material coming from Comcast, are my 3D glasses not good
(they seemed to get really good reviews), or do I have some setting that is non-optimal on the TV that could cause that effect? I am hoping the answer isn't that the TV just does 3D that way no matter what I do.
3. I would like to hear some more opinions on whether you let the TV upscale to 1080P for material that requires upscaling or whether you have your Home Theater receiver do the upscaling? I have an Onkyo TX-SR616 receiver (brand new).
