Could someone point me there?

Call to register your display & then ask for the extended warranty .. takes all of 5 minutes ... they then e-mail everything (info, contract # ) minutes later ..

Hey guys I have a questions for everyone, I just purchsed a 844U, and have a puzzler. Is there a slim speaker that will fit next to the 844U on either side and be the same height as the top of the TV? The reason I am asking is the space I have available was originally for the 70" SXRD XBR2 with the side speakers and I will have large spaces on both sides of the TV without speakers - I know Sharp makes the slim line speakers but the two models that I saw are wither too tall or too short, all suggestions would be appreciated.

Regards

I'm usng a pair of MagnePlanar MMGW @ $325 pair. They are 10 X 38 X 1. I have one on each side of the TV and they are connected in series since they are 4 ohm speakers that gives me the nominal 8 ohms for the center channel.

Do you have a pic that you can post so that I can get an idea on how the speakers compare to the size of the TV?

I've only got them temporarily mounted by my existing 60 while I wait for my 844 to show up... it finally arrives tomorrow. After I get the 844 unpacked I will set a speaker next to it and shoot a pic, sometime tomorrow afternoon.

I tried this setting but I actually prefer the factory setting for "User". It seems to give darker blacks and cleaner picture.

Regardless thanks for sharing your settings.

It seems a lot of us with 70" xbr2 is buying 844 or looking to buy it.

I had a custom cabinet made for 70" xbr2 with side speakers attached and now it fits the 844 perfectly. I have about 1" space all the way around. You must had extra space even with xbr2.

Anyone know how to tilt the 844 towards front when set on it's factory stand? It looks like it's tilted ~10 degrees towards back currently.

Suzook's settings on the 632, were great. On this 844, not so good ....

Very soft picture, and blue/green's both seem off.

My experience with Suzook's settings have been the opposite - BUT - I started with STANDARD mode and not MOVIE mode (did not like the soft look and colors washed out) and I also fiddled with the color temp - I have mine on mid-high or high. A lot of this is so subjective - you need to modify until it looks better (to you). I watched Brian Williams Rock Center last night - NBC - DirecTV feed and the colors were spot on - (sort of unusual for a network feed).

LOL. I hope there is some way to adjust it without resorting to 3rd party objects. It isn't huge deal but I would prefer it be straight up or very slightly tilted forward.

I'm not sure on the Sharp Stands, but on some companies stands you can adjust the screws on the mounting plate. It's a PITA because you have to remove the TV to do it. And it doesn't give you a lot of adjustment, just enough to make up for carpet irregularities or a bit floor tilt.

That does sound like PITA. I looked in the manual and there wasn't any info on this. Maybe I'll stick few pads that you use on bottom of couches to protect wood floor on the back side of the stand.

If you change the geometry of the stand then you place the display at risk of Falling over .
If you must do what you describe..... I Strongly suggest then you cable the back of the display to the wall to keep it from flopping forward . You can use the mounting holes on the back to attach the cables to the wall ...If you need the bolt size PM me .......

Chris I have to respectfully disagree. The LL11 has to kick out stands that allow easy access for cables etc. Never had an issue with my 80 632 or 70 Elite

Amazon here also (LL11), arrived in 2 days via prime. No TV yet ordered from US appliance a few days ago.

Also I was comparing the VLL10 and LL11 on the sanus site, it says the VLL10 is .67"/LL11 is .55". FYI

Guess I should have added, in most cases. That is a very sweet feature for this mount then !

Here is a picture of my new 844, showing the magneplanar speakers, that I just started setting up. Everything is temporary at this point so don't critique it....I have some work to do on the wall behind the TV, make cabinets for both sides and below and mount speakers. I love this TV!!!!

I know you said don't critique, but I just wanted to say that the small table you have it sitting on looks like a good height to me.

I like to have the center of the TV near eye-level while seated.
