I was looking at the 735U a couple weeks ago but ended up getting a Sharp LC-70LE632U a week ago (non-3D fully backlit 2011 model without local dimming) and it has been a very disappointing experience for me. The display has major clouding that hasn't improved even the slightest bit after leaving it on for a week straight without turning it off. The DSE is terrible on some programs it looks like a thick layer of dust is on the screen. Uniformity is terrible and there is something that almost looks like banding on really light color programming like white or light blue.
Sharp has given me a case number and asked for photos showing the problems. The funny thing is they think that they can actually send someone out to fix it. After reading all the positive reviews on here I had high expectations for it, but even calibrated reasonably close to right the picture on this tv pales in comparison to the 3 year old LG that I replaced with it.
Will keep everyone posted and let you know if they exchange it out for another monitor - we will see how good their customer service actually is. For the moment I am very disappointed with Sharp this monitor has the worst picture of any tv I have owned in the past 10 years.
