I guess I should have stated it's not compatible with my Galaxy Nexus, and won't even let me download it from the Google play store.

Sorry for the ppl that want to diss you for asking a perfectly good question. Some ppl have owned more than just one tv, me myself i have had the 65" M3D650 vizio, 55lw5600, 55lw6500, and 55lm6700 so asking your question is perfectly fine bro. I would say if you got the xtra money for the 7600 get that one, i could tell a diff between the lw5600 and lw6500 and they are the replacments for the lm6700 and lm7600 so the diff should be the same. The pic quality was better way better so if you got the xtra get the 7600. Really if you are not concerned with the nice look of the lm7600 get the lw6500 that tv was 10xs the TV this LM model has been, IMHO...Happy shopping!

thanks for ur suggestion...now i m purchasing lg lm7600...

For those that updated to new firmware version. Did you get both Dejudder and Deblur option in Trumotion menu, or just Dejudder? Thanks.

i got just a dejudder option. why? do you have both?
The 7600 has both with some preset options and a manual option to set both manually. I wonder if that is actually there for 6700 but has to be unlocked in the Service menu...

AHHHHH just great!!! I knew I needed something else to complain about -____-. I would like the Deblur option as well since the latest firmware update only has the Dejudder setting on my 47LM6700 TV. Please everyone lets try to get LG to include this option as well in a firmware update.

Its kinda retarded that after all this time of waiting on LG that they still managed to screw up the Trumotion feature without adding the Deblur option. I wouldn't as mad if they didn't end up including it later on but I would still like to have that option available. Seriously whoever made the decision at LG to withhold the full Trumotion user options should be fired!!!!

EDIT: I just called LG and talked to a CSR and he acknowledged that the LG engineers are still working on the Deblur feature since it was tested for the recent firmware update but it was not up to their standards for prime time release. He said that a future firmware update will be made available to include the Deblur feature. Thanks for reminding me us all about the lack of the Deblur option for TruMotion.. I would have totally overlooked the Deblur option.

what it does ?

(the deblur option I mean)
Got the firmware update with dejudder enabled but without deblur, I am not too happy with the new de-judder. I am not an expert at image processing/analysis but I see artifacts in fast moving objects which I don't see in my friend's LG TV with deblur option.

I don't get it, how can they release just de-judder without de-blur?
Installed the update to my 55 inch today. Anyone else getting gaming lag when using the dual play feature? I didn't have lag using dual play before the update but it's bad now. When I go back to split screen the lag is gone. Idea's?
@needmovies: I sent you a PM, but not sure if you've seen it.

I have the PS3 connected via HDMI to the TV, and the TV via toslink to the receiver, like your setup. What audio options did you figure out were best to check in the audio setup of the PS3? I haven't found a way to get anything other than 2 channel PCM 48, even if I select the first dolby digital 5.1 option...

"QUESTION
Trumotion de-judder vs. de-blur

What is the specific difference between these 2 setting in user mode?

ANSWER
The De-Judder feature is designed to adjust the “visual noise” out of the picture, while the De-Blur is designed to adjust the “after-image” of the screen. The Judder effect is adjusted using the REAL CINEMA or FILM MODE settings. With LG Real Cinema, every frame is consistently processed 5 times in 1/24 of a second producing 120 fps with TruMotion or 2 times in 1/24 of a second producing 48 fps without TruMotion, thus totally eliminating the judder effect. This function can also work when TruMotion is off.

i see artifacts on every TV that has motion interpolation turned on.
Yes, but the 7600 with the dual controls is less than most any I have seen. My past LG had far more with tru motion turned on. Compared to past models this very acceptable.

So I just jumped inon this set, 55" 6700. Have a 5 year old Samsung 5687w that this is replacing (due to light tunnel/stuck mirror issues they refuse to fix and I'm not going to invest another $600+ on it). I only got about 2 weeks to check around and for the price this tv seemed to have the best IQ in both 2d and 3d of the sets I looked into (sub $1600). Could have probably waited but the free extra sets of glasses + bluray player from amazon forced my hand. I looked at 5 of these "demo" sets at various best buys and HH gregg stores and the bleeding didn't seem to be that large of a factor from what I saw but obviously being in store vs at home will make a huge difference. The Samsungs and Sonys in this same price range seemed to suffer from bleeding much more then the LG's I looked at.

As far as TruMotion, I swear I saw it on one of the demo sets I looked at last week. Was this feature not included out of the box? Typically I hate the "soap opera" effect that most of these features present so I would likely have it off to begin with, but I've also never owned a 120hz tv, does the extra freq cause image issues I wouldnt see on a 60hz set?

Looking forward to getting my set next weekend, hoping I don't hav any issues

Been reading a lot of posts about TruMotion missing, WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL ?? Got this feature in the new firmware update few days ago, set it to Smooth and it seemed to produce the "soap opera" effect, I didn't know what people meant by "soap opera" effect but now I think I know what IT is, on the other side standard def picture seems to be clearer with TruMotion enabled (Smooth).

The soap opera effect does not manifest all the time but only in certain scenes, tend to happen in brighter scenes I think.

No doubt, the deblur is needed for the trumotion to work properly. LG did it again, they just did something to shut us up. I bet they wont do some dumb crap like this ever again.lol Now only if we could get into the service menu and adj the THX settings like on my lw6500 we would be good to go. Has nobody figured out how to get into the service menu yet? I mean so we can adj settings. I can get into it but almost everything is grayed out...

I agree, I finally get the update and now my picture is worse than before. I am constantly seeing artifacts on fast moving scenes or objects that I really wasn't getting before the update. Anyone have any recommendations for the best setting to cut down on these artifacts?
I am refraining from updating since 03.20.93 already have true motion feature off

THX mode is just other preset setting. My LW6500 has thx bright room and dark room, they are just different settings that show up in the mode section. Most ppl that use them usually change them they just use them as a good starting point but I liked them just how they where. I like the THX bright room for a bright picture. I like the retina burning effect personally and this TV just isn't very bright at all its more like having a plasma TV so I would like to see if the THX mode could make it any brighter, prob not but...

So I guess I'm still puzzled about one thing. Installing the new firmware shows that trumotion was set to "smooth" by default. Does this mean that it's been enabled all along, or did LG enable it as part of the firmware update?

lg enabled it as part of the update. it was not enabled before. This has been mentioned several times in this thread.

Deblur
I'm not trying to be "picky" but it's needed.
I am almost glad to hear the fact that Deblur is not yet an available setting in the TruMotion option. While I think the picture looks great when on still/slow moving scenes, fast/action scenes are showing a lot of blur. This gives me some hope that when the Deblur setting is availalbe, it will clean up the image.

Does anyone know of another setting I may have turned on that could be causing blur?

The problem seems network related. I had random reboots for a few weeks. I disconnected my network connection and haven't had a reboot in three weeks.
-TurboWells

I tried this last weekend. Couldn't figure out how to turn off the network connection so I just had it connect with a bad WEP to get it disconnected. This didn't seem to help though, it still rebooted after a couple of hours

For those interested, the new firmware update didn't seem to help with the reboots.

Also, for the guys with reboot issues that can get into the service menu, TV repair guy came by last week to check my TV's service menu. Looks like the service menu keeps a record of the last 24 power downs for the TV and tells you what caused it to turn off. Interestingly, this also records the reboots, although the status/error message was cryptic enough that we didn't have a clue what was causing it. TV repair guy said LG reps was leaning towards a bad remote receiver

please tell me, you asked him how we can change options in the service menu?

Has anyone found a universal remote that controls both the 6700 and the PS3's Blu-Ray features? I've tried the official Sony remote but it won't let me do much more than adjust the volume - I can't even get into the TV's main app menu.
