The worst part of the entire experience was re-packing the TV in the box. I was extremely impressed and happy dealing with Amazon on this one.
Here is a picture of the damaged TV
so i decided to go with amazon for a few reasons, but mainly because im a prime member and they gave me the ability to have it delivered on a saturday. First tv was shipped with CEVA, they call and give me 2 options get delivered on friday (the day they called) or a wait a week and have it delivered thurs of the following week, so they dont do weekend deliveries. I make arrangements to have my fiancee' be at home instead of her previously schedule pre-wedding stuff that she needed to do. That panel ended up being cracked.
Called Amazon the next day and they send a new one thats supposed to be here on Wednesday and that carrier is supposed to pick up the broken one, make arrangements a 2nd time for her to be at home instead of finalizing things for our quickly approaching wedding. This time its sent via Pilot carriers, and they no show on Wednesday, call on friday and then state it would have to be friday or a weekday late next week, they dont do saturday deliveries. I call amazon and after about a half an hour they make arrangements to have it delivered today (saturday) but mention multiple times how much its going to cost them to do this for me ($150 extra for the carrier to delivery it on a saturday). New tv arrives today, carrier does not open box to ensure no damage like they should, and then refuses to take damaged tv stating they dont have an order for a pickup. I havent opened the new tv yet, doing that tomorrow, but now im sure amazon is going to ask for this tv to be picked up on a weekday when its a massive inconvenience for anyone to be here (fiancee working+schools+wedding stuff, me multiple jobs over 2 different shifts) which I will refuse to do a 3rd time or complain again about having to do a saturday delivery.
