glad to help man. i personally use the "user" setting and set it to 3. i think it looks pretty good and not too many artifacts.

by the way, when you game on your ps3, make sure to change it to "game" mode. i think it helps alot.

I manage to connect the TV (47LM6700) and the laptop (as a remote). Can anyone provide me the service menu codes?

Hi everyone,

Apologies if this has been asked already but I couldn't find anything on the topic.

Does anyone know what are the differences between the US and EU model? More to the point, if I buy the US model and then move to EU, will I be able to keep the same set?

LG website does state that the US model takes power supplies of 120V to 240V (50/60Hz) but not sure if that's enough.

Thanks!

I have seen very little talk on this thread around CEC (SimpLink) capability of these sets. I have a Denon AVR-1913 and have power and volume working nicely through CEC along with ARC. But I am having hard time getting my AVR to go to the right input automatically. It will got to TV Audio (this will output ARC signal) when I go to HOME->pick an app (e.g.: Vudu)->run app->click back on the remote to exit app. When you exit from app back to home it switches to TV Audio on my AVR.

I wish it could switch to TV Audio when I go _TO_ home for the first time and then when I select HDMI1 input it would switch my AVR back to CBL/SAT. But I see now way to do that. Ideas?

Hi all,

I got the 42LM6700, Everytime i try to stream something online i can't get it to work FULL screen? Theres a button for this on the actually player but when i click it nothing happens...
This is tried on all "tv-lins.eu" and "eplsite.com", anyone know how to get this working?

Just bought the 42" version of the LM660 which is the UK model just like the 670 except its black. smile.gif
LG are phasing the 660 and 669 as they cause confusion in the Euro market as they are same TVs as 670 just different color so got it at good price. Cheaper then the 640T!

Just quick question, do people have issues using PC blu-ray drives to watch 3D blu-rays using a HDMI 1.3 to DVI connector?
I could get a HDMI 1.4 cable but in case it dont matter I will stick with this.

Any word on Deblur?
In the UK its being sold as 400HZ TruMotion while the low end 3400 is 100hz truemotion.
I would hope the panel is 100hz and not 60 on the 6700.

Not sure how a technician will be able to FIX the fundamental flaw in the TV.
Before owning 55LM6700 , I owned Samsung LCD TV 720P which I had no issue(LNT3243H).

of course you didnt have interpolation issues, your old tv did't even have the option to do it. frame interpolation seems to cause artifacts.
what settings are you using?

The 7600 had a software update available starting yesterday, posted in that thread. I don't know if it is available for the 6700 or what it will add to it.

Same no issue with panning shots but I not tried many yet only just got the TV 2 days ago!
Love it so far and I been told once settings are adjusted it will look even better. Over on the AvForums the new update apparently improves black levels/backlight bleed and details.

What are the options for turning these units on aside from IR? I tried RS232 for power off which works fine and IP control is working fine too but power ON is a no-go unless you do it with IR. That means I am stuck with attaching a IR emitter. Any ideas?

What firmware version number? If its version 04.02.85, then its old news since it came out in late July.

I have the 47LM6700 model. Everything is great, except for some light leakage along the top left corner of the screen. The other three corners are perfect, but the top left is always brighter where the screen meets the bezel. It's not always an issue. In bright scenes it's not noticeable at all. It's not even really noticeable in darker scenes, as the corner dims during dark scenes (I assume this part of the local dimming feature)?

The time it's noticeable is bright scenes during letter boxed movies. I guess then the local dimming can't fade the corner lights because the center of the screen is so bright.

Is everyone else's set displaying similar behavior?

I have had the television for two weeks now, and am trying to decide what to do with it. I can send it back to Amazon for a refund or replacement. If I get it replaced, I am concerned that any TV of this model will have a similar issue. I really don't want the refund, either, as I paid $800 for it with the Amazon price match, and don't think I could get a set of equal quality for that.

I noticed that my firmware is 3. something, and that there is a 4.something version available for download. Would the newer firmware address the corner lighting?

Thanks!

Finding a "clean" thin panel screen - whatever the manufacturer - is a crap shoot. Good luck. BTW, I'm on my 5th and still see light leakage from the upper right corner as well as vertical banding.

I had the same problem on my TV, but the problem is gone with the new firmware smile.gif))

Can anyone share proper settings for X-Box 360?

Currently all my devices feed through the AV Receiver (a Pioneer SC-57) via HDMI and then into the LG6700 on HDMI 1.

I'm finding problems in video games with input lag, and am wondering if I can program a range of settings for a single input (for example, different video settings for my Xbox, Blu Ray, and Media Player attached via the same HDMI input).

Also the sound sync between the receiver and the image on the TV is off.

I can off-set frames in the AVR by tenths of a frame, but I can't fully understand what's lagging (I assume that the image on the TV is slower than the audio, but sometimes it appears to be the opposite in video games than it is from DVDs).

Thanks for any advice.

Another new software update is available for the 7600 as of this morning. (04.10.00) Do not know if it is available for the 6700.
Did the new firmware update improve the black levels of this set?
Didn't consider the black level a problem I guess. I find the 7600 (and I would guess the 6700) to have better blacks than my older LG set. I don't think there is any difference, but as always the picture looks great......
When I was in the stores comparing nearly priced sets some sets did appear to have a little better blacks mostly the Samsung. But nothing that shouted out in the difference. The Local Dimming (on low) is perfect for helping the black level in darker scenes.

I see this for 55" at Frys for $999. Is it a good deal at this price despite the issues?
I bought a package deal with the 55LM6700, a Blu-ray BP620c and 12ea 3D glasses for $1099 at Fry's. The BEST money I've ever spent. I have NO complaints what so ever!!! Both have WIFI connectivity and works for my needs. I'd buy it in again in a nanosecond!

So... i saw the 55" deal for @fry's for $999 and seriously considered purchasing it... read TONS of good reviews and then i go to this site and see multiple people complaining about input lag for gaming?? Really? Nooo frown.gif I've read that there is a gaming mode but i don't know how much that helps. Can people with extensive experience with this TV chime in and let me know how gaming is on this set? 360 and/or ps3. Thanks!
