The wife and I fell in love with the appearance of the TV and the true accuracy of the color tone at the store. Once home and hooked up we noticed the picture just looks too real, which is probably not a complaint most people make, but I was just looking for a SMART TV that had a good picture like my Panasonic 50” Plasma we have in the basement not for us to feel like someone is sitting in our living room with us. Are there any adjustments that can be made to change this realness of the screen? Next we noticed that the frames seemed like they were jumping from shot to shot not the nice follow that our other TV’s in the house have, I believe I was able to correct this with the TruMotion setting moving the slider up to 7, anyone else have any better luck with changing other options? We are still receiving motion blur on people in the background if they run by the camera while it is focused on something else, the refresh rate is set at 60 hz and I cannot find any adjustment to move it to the 120hz. I have completed a firmware update today in hope that would unlock the blocked out category that most are saying the refresh rate options are, but still am not having any luck. Anyone have any other ideas? The last is the browser, our DVR missed a show and we were able to go to that channels website and find the episode we missed, we tried to play it and it just kept freezing 15 minutes into the show every time. Currently, we are very disappointed in LG & LED TV’s we may have to take a step back to the LCD or even attempt a plasma which is not the best option for the living room with the amount of reflective objects we have in conjunction with the amount of day time light. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.
if you dont like the "soap opera" look, then try to turn off the trumotion options, or try a user setting of 4 or under. that might help. sorry but i dont think this tv will ever look like a plasma. i think the plasmas in our home have the best PQ, but with proper setting this tv can look pretty good.
also, if you have a frys in your area, i would buy the tv there, its much cheaper. i got the 47lm6700 for $800. i think that for the price i paid, its a good tv. better 3d than our active plasma sets, but 2d quality on the plasmas is better and has better color accuracy..
