Just got the update (04.31.30) this morning after getting back from vacation. I haven't noticed anything new...nothing has changed. Anyone else find any actual changes in this "update"?
My update is Hanging at 78%..... it has been this way for over 1 hour.... had to turn off the set and back on for it to finish..... I had to do the exact same thing with the last software update! mad.gif

i have the 47" model and connected my lacie hdd to my netgear wndr3000.
when i go to my smart share app on the tv, i can view only some of the file folders. and within some of them, the files are not there.

when i hook the hdd directly to my tv or laptop, the files are visible and functioning.

so now i've got it just hooked up directly to the tv's usb port on the backside..which is fine in terms of accessing the files.
the only drawback is that i can't access it from my laptop via the wifi network...which is great convenience.

anybody know how to fix this issue?

I got the 4.31.30 update this morning and immediately noticed that my smart phone now has an option in youtube to beam to the TV as does Netflix! Im certain this didnt exist prior because ive been messing with the new phone quite a bit lately (samsung galaxy note 2). Pretty nice update for me, yes there are apps on the tv but its nice to just shoot the video up with the press of a button.

Hi

Picked up a 47lm6700 at Fry Electronics for 600 on Dec 26th. It was listed for 1749 in the ad with a "Call store for price". It was 1100 on their website, but 600 in the store.

It is in today's ad again, so maybe it is 600 again.

I am just starting to find some good threads to find the tips and tricks for this tv.

I am have been happy so far. The biggest surprise has been watching a standard dvd on a standard player (no blu-ray) and pressing the 3d button made the picture better - not 3d, wasn't wearing glasses, just deeper blacks and more vivid colors.

Maybe there is an answer in the thread, need to read the 60 pages and learn everything. I like the renaming inputs to effect the options trick.

From what I see it mostly a Netflix update you can play Netflix and YouTube from from phone to the tv(I have an iPhone) and there is a 3d test option now

Owners, let's face it. There will be no DEBLUR for the LM6700 series, it's not a native 120hz panel. AFAIC, LG patently lied to consumers, saying the unit had 120Hz refresh in it's advertizing, packaging and POS literature at the stores.

It will be the last LG product I'll ever buy, joining the list with Sony and Samsung.
they definitely have lied to us. I am going to call next week for sure and b**** and moan a little more.
I don't think I realized the 6700 didn't have deblur yet. My 6200 had it out of the box in May. I'd definitely be complaining too.
Anybody verify if the optical out spits dts? My Samsung does not and to give my Harmon kardon sb 30 a true dts signal, I ran an optical from my soundbar to the av closet. Looking to hopefully go from the lg to the soundbar direct obviously.
Thanks in advance.

Need some advice, I've seen mostly good reviews on the 55LM6700. I've got around 1200 to 1300ish to spend on a new TV. Costco has the 55LM6700 for 1099 today. I'm gonna go up and check and see what kind of deals Frys has on tvs tomorrow but so far I've seen a Panasonic TC-P55UT50 for $799 but it's a plasma and no smart tv stuff which I don't really need or prob won't use. Also I have found Sams club with a Sharp LC-60c8470u for 1062 on close out deal which seemed like a really nice tv and bigger but active 3d.. Any pointing in the right direction would be much appreciated as the wife probably will not let me get another one for years

The only input I have seen do this is the coaxial input which is what I use for basic cable and only when the DTS signal is present for that particular program.

I'm not surprised about the no deblur. The last few TV's I bought seem to basically stop getting any significant updates after the first half of the year is over. By that time the manufacturer is concentrating on next years model already. Knowing this was a 60hz set AFTER I bought it, I didn't think deblur was even possible on it.

I am annoyed about the 120hz false claim because it's pure misrepresentation. I don't think the 3D on this set is as good as the 240hz LG LW6500 set I had last year either. I started to watch Avatar on this 6700 set and in the beginning scene where everyone is floating and waking up, I thought the detail looked like total crap. Last year LG did a big 3D quality upgrade using the higher frame rate capability to supposedly increase the detail. Since this is a 60hz set, does that mean it doesn't have that capability?

Thanks for all the information on the LG 6700 - i have spent the last two days reading the 59 pages on the TV

i purchased my set two days ago from Richer Sounds ( UK ) http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/lg/55lm670t/lg-55lm670t

I paid £1299 for the set with a 5 year warranty

I have just purchased the Wow Disney pack to calibrate my setting.

Just a quick question - will this calibrate just the setting for Blu Ray or the settings for HD TV as well.

I have renamed the HDMI PC for my Playstation.

I use my TV for Watching Football ( Soccer ) and playing Call of Duty.

2. Crackle to Center Premium function added

It was not Amazon added it was Crackle added they typo'd on their support page. No Amazon in the Center Premium function. They are working on it from what I have been told.

3. ACR function added

Not sure about this one they might have typo'd again meaning ARC function. (Audio Return Channel) I am still trying to figure this one out. The TV already had ARC on HDMI 1.

http://www.lg.com/us/support-product/lg-47LM6700 click "software update" then under "[Operating System(s)] LG Firm " click view more.

Up above people mentioned being able to send YouTube and Netflix videos from an iPhone to the LM6700. Any tips on how to do this?

Also, does anyone have Amazon Instant or Prime Instant in the premium section? I do not.

In the Netflix app on iOS, just click on a video to play it and it will pop up asking where to play it (lm6700 / iPhone). I haven't figured out how to do the same with the YouTube app. Still no Amazon Instant on our LG TVs yet frown.gif Wish it had Pandora too. My LG bluray has both those apps though.....you would think they would be consistent between their product lines.
Ok, thanks I'll give that a shot with Netflix. Although I don't really need that since we have a Netflix app on the TV. I think being able to quickly lookup YouTube videos on the phone and then send them to the TV will be great.

I know, I really miss the Amazon Instant app. I could probably drop Netflix if the Amazon app shows up since I'm a prime member.

Thanks for the response!

Sorry for a dumb question. New here..
how do you connect your iphone/ipad to the tv? I have all devices running on the same wireless network and I can get the LG remote app on iphone to work with the TV.. but when it comes to sharing media/ screenshare etc.. do I need another device, or app? Any help you experts can provide will be greatly appreciated.

What bugs me, is that when I first purchased this set and came to find that the truMotion option wasn't enabled, I called Lg and was fold to wait for a Firmware update. After having Amazon extend my return window for 3 months Lg finally released the update excluding De-Blur. Calling Lg again I was told another updat would be released. I let my return window pass and a year later No update. All I wanted was an honest answer from Lg and all I got was the brush off... I would have just retuned the set and upgraded to a set that had both de-judder and de-blur. It was false advertising! If we band together and write the BBB we can have a chance to get what we paid for! Lg could have been honest from the beginning and we should have been giving the chance to return or settle with the set.....
I know it's still a great set. I just wanted the right to have the set that was sold to me as advertised. The chance to get the set I wanted

I agree having the YouTube app work from our phones would be MUCH more useful than the Netflix app. The LG Youtube app is pretty slow and clunky, and it would be awesome to pull it up on my phone and send it to the TV. Some earlier commenters said it was possible, but I have yet to find a way.

I think if we get enough owners together..... The only real recourse we will have is a class action lawsuit...... But those take YEARS, but I think it will be the only way we will be compensated for being blatantly lied to.

My TV is stuck in a bootloop. Totally randomly, came home last night, turned on TV, stuck in boot loop. Not just a reboot every hour. This TV won't stay on for more than 30 seconds. Tried resetting TV to factory, now can't get past first menu before reboot. Barely got the TV to shut off. I'm placing a call to geek squad in the morning. Pretty frustrated, luckily I bought the two year warranty from BB. Had a TV with no light bleeds or blooming problems for 6 months. Now all of the sudden I can't get the damn thing to stay on. So annoying. Anyone have any work arounds?

HOLY CRAP! I came on here because my TV just started doing that 10 minutes ago! Did you update to latest firmware? I did a few days ago, I don't recall which day. Was perfectly fine yesterday, had been fine for several hours today.

I switched to another input on my LG HTIB to use my HTPC, and it started doing it. It's like the TV turns off, waits a moment, then turns back on. It's hard to be sure, but I think the red light is blinking 3 times (if it was a computer, I'd say bad RAM smile.gif ). I switched the Input on the HTIB to it's "home" to make sure it wasn't something funky coming off the HTPC, but it still did it. I'll let them sit and see what I can come up with.

Ok, wait...I just realized I'm in the wrong thread. I have a 47" 7600...but that it's doing the same thing at the same timeish? Still makes me wonder about the firmware update I did.

edit 1: Ah, now I see several others are reporting this in the 7600 thread.

EDIT 2: OK, I got a work around for my issue. The short version is, I took my TV off the wi-fi. The rebooting only happened when my MacMini running Plex was awake. It doesn't happen when the computer sleeps. This was never an issue until the firmware update and nothing has changed on the computer. http://www.avsforum.com/t/1399636/official-lg-xxlm7600-owners-thread/2520#post_22818780
