I just got the 47lm6700 yesterday. I like everything about it but had a question. Is it possible to watch att uverse from the tv browser? When I tried it said that the flash player was out of date but when I tried to update the flash player there was no where to do that. I would really like to figure this out because I do not have all of the channels at my place but my uverse account has every channel. Maybe hooking up my pc to the computer would fix them problem?? Or maybe there is a Uverse app for the tv?

Has anyone had a tech come out to look at their set for the edge bleed and did they remedy the problem? I'm curious because in an all dark room on an all dark screen, my 6700 has some bad bleed on the left hand side.

I finally spent some time looking for this video, but heck if I could find it -- could you give me a little bit more information about it? Where it might be located, what was its name, what did it look like, or whatever? I went through just about everything, but I didn't see anything that looked like it had a robot in it......

lol, I looked for this the other day after reading the post about it and also could not find it.

Is anyone able to play 3d videos from Netflix? They just play in regular 2d mode on my TV. Wonder if that is because my internet provider doesn't support super HD yet?

when you go into the menu, select 3d world, then go to documentaires. it should say something like "short3d: insects talk". This isnt the exact video i was talking about (cant find that video for some reason), but it is similar. there will be like a guy floating around in the beginning.


or if you want to see A LOT of pop out, theres that video on youtube. if you're pc is hooked up to your tv search youtube for "3d chainsaw video". change the 3d settings on youtube to side-by-side.

The insect Video is CRAZY! The best 3D I have seen on the TV so far. Things throughout the whole video come out into your room!

Sorry to repeat my post but has anyone had a tech look at their edge bleed and if so did they remedy the problem?

Let's just say I have a 2 1/2 year old who does not care less about 3d and will not keep the glasses on for more then a minute. Well I convinced him to put it on to see this video and he ended up watching the whole things an continues to ask to see it again. Anyone who wants to show off the 3d on there TV, this is the video to do it with.

Sorry, can't help as my panel is pretty solid on my 6700. Not sure if a tech can actually do anything. If it was a simple fix I do not think LEDs would actually ship like they do. If you are in your exchange window, I would try another one. It just seems like it is luck of the draw. I went through 3 other LG LED models which they were all noticeable on and finally ended up with a good 6700 panel. I am eyeing the prices of the 7600 but not even sure if I would be willing to give up my good 6700 for a bad 7600.

Ok, so I've had this problem with my 55LM6700 being painfully slow in the menu system and having buffering issues on all streaming videos (Netflix, Media Share, Plex, ect). After the last firmware update it was a little better and worked every once in awhile, but lately it's been painfully slow and freezing in three menus.
First thought was the connection, so I tried different connections to no avail. Maybe something to do with bandwidth but my Comcast is pretty fast.Maybe my computer but I think an i5 w/16GB DDR3 and an SSD can stream a movie (when not running anything else you know i don't want to over work it).
At this point I give up. I'm contacting Tech support for repairs.

Thought I'd put this out there to see if others have these same issues with the TV processor?

Well, just picked up my 47LM6700 at Costco for $699! After my costco rewards coupon from our Amex it was $475. Looking forward to getting it installed and running, and hope I don't have big issues with light bleed or motion resolution. Considering the price I paid for the TV, I can live with some downfalls as long as its not too apparent. Just plan on watching the TV and enjoying without being too nitpicky. Fingers crossed!

Is that in the Internet or do u need to call for that? I would love to do price match at that price?

They do not advertise their LG TVs online. Amazon will not match because of this as it has to be online. I tried getting them to call the other week for something but they said they do not. Best Buy will call Costco and price match them.

Can't update Flash on the browser. Same for all other brands of TVs as well. I do not think any smart TV has a current version of flash on it.



So do people think that tru-motion actually does anything on the 6700? What do people think about watching sports and it's ability to handle blurring? I know the 7600 has a de-blur option that that is not available on the 6700 so I am wondering if there is actually nothing go on with that. I know de-judder works when you turn it up but that gives you the SOE effect and also has no effect on blurring.

that's freaking awesom eman. i'm glad your kid is having fun. if you get the chance, check out sammys adventure. the movie isnt the best, but the 3d fantastic in my opinion.

Yeah, we have seen the movie in 2d but the 3d version does not seem to be available in the US. I have a PS3 so not sure if it will play other region DVDs?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone is noticing the TV switch between left/right and right/left when in 3D mode. I was watching Madagascar 3D (in the side-by-side setting) from my laptop and noticed that the TV did it a lot. Then later on I played my Dredd 3D Blu-ray through my PS3 and noticed that it was doing it there too. I've never noticed this before, especially when playing a 3D Blu-ray. I'm hoping this is something that may be resolved with a system reset and not a panel issue.

I think that I noticed it a couple of times but it hasn't happened lately. It is kind of a minor shift in the picture. Is that what your talking about?

From what I have read, I understand the LM6xxx series is based on a 60Hz panel. As such, there is no point in motion adaptive interpolation of frames, because the panel couldn't display them anyway. The only available techniques that I can see being applied are backlight scanning to insert black frames (similar to what is done in the cinema to smooth out the 24fps of film) for motion smoothing, but I can't see how deblur can ever happen with this panel.

It wouldn't surprise me if Trumotion settings were omitted from the LM6xxx series originally because LG had already tweaked performance as far as it could go with this panel and so they would be superfluous. The Trumotion settings in new firmware could simply be placebo.

I wish manufactrurers would be more up front about limitations in their product and not offer false hope that something can be fixed when it technically can't.

I thought I was finished with the inadequacies of display technology when I left behind the geometric distortion and flickering of CRT, but I was so wrong.

So I thought I'd check out the LG website and schedule an appointment with a tech for my edge bleed but they want to charge ($89 I think) for the appointment. What gives? I'm reconsidering becausete tech may or may not even be able to fix it. Any advice?

I just bought The Hobbit today. Let me tell you all I was very excited to watch this with my wife tonight. We have loved our 47lm6700 over the past 6 months or so. To our disappointment this movie looks blurry, out of focus, and has an extreme amount of ghosting. It made it un-watchable. Is anyone else having this problem? I couldn't fix it with settings...wondering if it has something to do with our update that happened today or whether it was the way the movie was filmed (48 fps).

i watched it, but didnt update so i dont know what the changes are. i thought it looked pretty nice. i watch my movies on the "USER" setting, set anywhere from 0-3. i dont use the smooth or clear settings.

Has anyone else updated? Any major changes?

I bought it too, but haven't had a chance to check it out yet. Is it 48 FPS? I thought it was interesting that the 3D version is split between two discs. My TV did get an update, but I don't know what the changes are.

In regards to my issue, a tech came out to look at my issue with the 3D and it might be a board issue, so he's coming later this morning to replace that. Hopefully that will fixit.

Ive had the same trouble, i watch immortals in 3d and it did it around 3 to 4 times during the whole film (to what i noticed) , im sure when i first tried the 3d i did not see any of this tv switch (like it was swapping from left to right?), i have my 3d setting to - 3d depth at 7 and 3d viewpoint to -10.

Not sure if anything to do with the user settings that ive set up and thats where we are both getting the trouble from? But im sure ive tried to reset settings and think it still did same thing??

If anyone can help us out please post a reply , just in case there is a problem with both our sets?

I liked your post because it seems like there is hope for getting my only problem with the set fixed, however I am pissed that LG would charge me for them fixing a product that was faulty to begin with.

P.S. I can't check now but I want to say they're charging $189 not $89.
What did they charge you for everything?
