Yes it does reflect there is no doubt. BUT it's kinda strange, when the picture is on the reflection seems to get less and I hardly notice it.

The 3D is better than going to a 3D movie imo! It's outrageous and my kids love it! The 2D to 3D conversion works awesome.

The magic remote gets a bit annoying sometimes because if you slightly hit it the arrow appears on the screen for 5 secs.

On the flip side it also controls my LG blue ray player which is cool.

I now discovered that 2 out of 4 HDMI ports are bad. Showed sparkles when the blue ray was attached. Best Buy coming Saturday to replace with a new one.

Can you take some high quality pictures while the screen is dark (e.g. go to an input where there is nothing plugged in)? That way we can see how the tv is with light leakage (make sure local dimming is on).

I've been waiting for these to come out and there is a pretty nice deal on them, but there are no reviews ...really on the fence about it. But if pq is good like you stated and the light leakage is not an issue, I may just pull the trigger!

There is definitely some leakage during playback when you have the black bars on top and bottom. I have never noticed it during full screen viewing.

The photos can't really show you, but it is definitely there on the top only.

Thanks for the quick reply and pictures! Couple questions:

1. What setting is your local dimming on (e.g. low, medium, high)?
2. Is there any possible way you can take the exact same photos in the dark? If you could set the camera down on a table for the photos (to prevent motion blur) that'd be ideal.

Don't know if its the lighting or the angle but the screen is not as reflective as I though it would be. Certainly not plasma like reflective.

At least the 7600 is very plasma like when reflections are concerned. It was very bad. Hopefully the 6700 isn't as bad but the 7600 was just as reflective as the plasmas a few TVs away.

Today I hooked blu ray and Directv HDVR though my Onkyo NR609 and output to the 7600. Picture and sound now is everything I could want in a home theater. As we mainly watch tv in the evening the reflection is a minor issue for our family.

One problem I still have is that I use a Harmony One remote. It is not RF, but the TV remote HOME and 3D buttons are only Rf and my Harmony won't learn the commands.

Wondering if anyone knows a way around this?

i want to say the 3D is the same as the LW5600, you still need to sit pretty level with the TV or the 3d effect goes away.. there are a few more options for depth and distance settings

like the LW5600 if you sit too closely you can see black horizontal lines every other pixel

I still havent found the options for trumotion but it seems like it is on... permanently.. it is pretty smooth and I havent noticed any glitching/judders, maybe some blurryness

turning down the backlight/ using the medium power save setting gets rid of some of the DSE but its still noticeable in some scenes which would probably be eliminated if it was the backlit led array LM9700 model for an extra $1000

reflective screen doesn't bother me any but it is very reflective, i have a few other monitors like this so im used to it

overall im pretty satisfied with this tv but the DSE might bother me enough to try something else... i still have 3weeks to decide

So are you talking standard blotchy DSE or banding DSE. While banding DSE is visible on the LW5600 on rare scenes, it pretty minimal and can be looked over unlike some bigger issues I've seen on other sets(like noticeable bands or light none uniformity on static scenes) . The banding on most scenes can't be seen so I'm wondering if you're talking about severe blotchy DSE that's noticeable on all scenes.

Perhaps try to see if the codes for the LW6500 3D/Menu buttons would activate the 3D/Home commands on the LM7600? Let me know if this works please, will be in the same boat as soon as J&R gets the 7600 in stock. So weird they would only include a magic remote and no standard remote... hell, how are you supposed to type in words when searching netflix and hulu?

I purchased the 55LM6700.

Cons:
-The reflectivity of the screen is annoying.
-No Pandora app that I could find.
-Neflix is behaving strangely. Ever so often the picture scrambles. I saw another review mention this as well. The app is also extremely slow.

Pros:
-Effin' beautiful!
-Passive 3d looks great!

I am wondering if the 7600 model with the 240hz is worth the extra $200. 120hz looks pretty smooth to me. I only notice and bit of lag when playing Uncharted 3 on PS3. Not sure if 240hz would improve the gaming display or not. The 8600 also comes with a dualcore processor, which I imagine would speed up the Netflix app. But, is it worth the extra $600?

I saw the 55" of this tv today, the tv itself looks amazing with that bezel. The blacks from what I could tell looked weak, but hard to say how good they really are.

I noticed that too, with the remote. How do you adjust the 120 hz setting on this tv? Where is it in the menu?

I'm interested in finding out if the 2012 LG Cinema 3D sets exhibit the color ghosting problems in Checkerboard 3D and Line-interleaving 3d gaming and movie watching. There are many users that would like to know if this has been fixed and we would greatly appreciate it. I was at Bestbuy and I can get the 55LM6700 for $2000.00 plus tax and then I went to HHGReG and I can get the 55LM7600 for same price plus tax. But they are waiting for them to come in stock. I noticed the 6700 is a silver bezel where the 7600 is a black bezel. ? They only had a 47 inch 7600 there but it was black. Is the 55 7600 black as well then? Do the tvs have exact same aspects except for 120hz vs 240 mz? Is this a good price? I wanted the Samsung 7000 series but kept reading about all the issues with them so now very interested in this LG.

What to do about extended warranty? I can buy on Amex and get extra year of manufacturer warranty , but I hear what they cover is very limited. Or do I ante up another $200-300 for a 3-4 year warranty that will cover anything through the store ,? Or maybe do a SquareTrade warranty? I am torn on this decision?

Order it from J&R, same price, you pay $115 for delivery (less than what tax would be), and no tax. Bezel color (and shape from the side, 7600 is more squared off at the bottom, 6700 is rounded), and 240hz is the only differences between those two models.

No comment on extended warranty

I think what lg should have done is coat the screen on both sides which would then reduce reflections and also provide deeper blacks.

I find lgs to look to reflective if they did this i definately think that there would be a big improvement, bang-olufsen have been doing this for years on there beovision 7 tvs and the picture on those are just sublime.

I also think that they shot them selfs in the foot by not at least including the standard remote alongside the magicmotion one.

Anyone tried the Service Menu THX, THX 3D, and dolby 5.1 pass-through hack that existed on last year's 5600? It is probably the only reason I kept that TV...

I just downloaded the spec pdf's for the 47LM6200 and 47LM6700 from LG's site and it shows the 6200 series as not having local dimming, "LED Plus" (whatever that is), and some other specs were not as good as the 6700. just to add, i had ordered a lw5600 until i saw frys add for $999, i quickly cancelled my amazon order (which had already shipped)

anyways, before i went to frys i did call them to verify what tv was $999 and they did say the 47lm6700...i immediately went to frys and did purchase a 47lm6700 for $999(no tax).
