This is complete BS, having called last month I was told their so called engineers are working on the issue and I am now out of the return window from where I bought the TV. Sorry does not cut it, he said supposedly a supervisor will give me a call back which I highly doubt. If there is no update by next week or a call I will be raising hell. I didn't buy a 120hz tv to get a 60hz tv and an apology.

Exactly. These LG reps say different things all the time. Next time call back and raise hell man. I have several times. If the update does not come out in a few days i will be calling back, and demanding a refund, or for them to exchange my tv with one that works as advertised.

This new set now has a trumotion option in the settings menu now. I know the other tv didn't have it and realize the other tv had no trumotion feature enabled at all. First time watching video on this new set showed a lot more smoothness than I ever saw on the previous set.

Here is a video of the trumotion option and software version the TV is on: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wqtTdGvtS4

wait, so you got a 6700 replaced, and it has the trumotion options?
When i got my 6700, i picked it up from the store myself, so no shipping was involved.

I pretty much have no flashlighting, so maybe it does occur when it is not shipped correctly, not sure though, it is just a guess.

The only problem i have with this tv is not having the trumotion option.

UPDATE: i just off the phone with a LG rep again, and this time i was told that the update would come out june/july. They said the engineers are working on it, but i'm not sure if they really are, or if the rep is just saying that.

I encourage anyone with this tv, to at least call one time and complain about not having the trumotion options.

yes. model number on back shows 55LM6700-UA. Maybe I got a non-us model? Either way, im very happy now.

hopefully the youtube video will be finished converting soon.

Here is a review of the
Vizio M3D550KD. I saw this today at Sam's for $1249. This seems to be a viable alternative to the 6700.

My 47LM6700 was manufactured February 2012 and doesn't have TruMotion yet.

I bought mine from Amazon (America) and the model number is also 6700-UA so the one mentioned above with TruMotion is also the American version. The update will come...

And finally a good review on LG LM670T:
Code:
http://www.avforums.com/reviews/LG-LM670-LM670T-47LM670T-42LM670T-55LM670T-47LM670-42LM670-55LM670-Cinema-3D-Full-HD-LED-LCD-TV-Review_307/Review.html
Not really impressed by the results i must admit, it seems to be in direct comparison with the panasonic et5b having a bit higher contrast and better blacks but loosing at sd/hd signal handling and motion...
However i must also add that the con: "Motion artefacting/trailing in 50Hz content" of the review does not seem to exist on 60hz (NTSC) as reviewer said so take that into account too!

Just to confirm the rumors, is your TV manufactured sometime in May? There was a thread in another forum that said LG told them that all models manufactured in May and beyond will have the Trumotion firmware preinstalled.

Is it the same for 47LM6700s manufactured in May?

It says April 2012 on the back. So maybe some of the April ones got it too?

Seems to me that LG is just trying to avoid a flood of complaints by telling customers what they think customers want to hear, instead of just being honest.
Can't wait till I get home from work today and make a call to LG.
The review above of the 670T shows an output for headphones in the specs. The 6700 is missing this output. Any other differences noted?

Hey folks, I must say, overall I am please with my 55" LG, but one weird thing is happening. I ripped a few of my 3d movies into a half-sbs mkv. During playback, it looks like the image shifts once in a while. Happens on 2 of my 3 rips. I currently view the rip on a LG BD670, but it also happens when I stream directly to the TV, but it seems to shift in different places. Is it just a bad rip? Perhaps the TV can't process the stereoscopic 1080P that well? Thoughts? Thanks ahead of time for your responses.

Not happening to me at all. All the 3d I watch is sbs format.
Yeah clearly they have the 03.20.90 firmware ready since it's on plenty of newer models, they just need to put it on their site so we can download it.

I've seen it happen on bad rips, but I think it's just that... bad rips. I've seen half SBS mkvs play perfectly as well so I think it's the settings used while encoding.

Just got off the phone with amazon...
According to the rep a firmware update for my 55LM6200 was released last week...
This update gave the TV the TruMotion toggle. Can anyone confirm? I'm now calling LG directly.....

I have noticed this same thing on some 3D content as well. I have found that the depth control usually needs to be pretty low to stop that, so go to your manual 3D settings and just put it to the lowest setting depth and see if that helps.

Perfect. I vae my depth settings all the way turned up. I will try lowering them as well as re-ripping. Thanks to everyone for your replies.

really dont know dude, try to look for the vizio thread and ask there. or if you have a store with a good return policy, you should try it out and see if you like it.

Any new lies, I mean updates, from LG on when the firmware update will be released?
I concur with Xamindar. I ordered my 55LM6700 from Amazon ($1,400)on May 24 and received it yesterday. Upon installing it, the first thing i tried to do was to update the software. It said that there were no updates available. I checked the software version and indeed it is 03.20.93. Then i went to the Picture Options and sure enough the Tru-Motion feature was enabled and changable to OFF - SMOOTH - CLEAR - USER (user adjustable de-judder (0-10 scale)) - OFF. I am really very happy with my purchase so far. The TV is excellent and playing almost all videos. The menus and the browser are great as well. Only issue so far is flash player. It does not play videos off the internet websites. Hopefully that will be addressed in an update sooner rather than later.

Thx for the video. Are you using "Clear?"
And, I agree with you - I don't think TruMotion is 'turned on' with sets that don't have the option.

What's the difference between the 6200 and the 6700 besides the flush bezel?
yeah i'm on 03.20.31 on my 47lm6700. they just need to push out this update. it's ridiculous that we have to wait on it when people getting tv's that were made in late April/May already have them.
the panel and specs of it are the same on February models and MAY models ??

Is there a way to compare this ?

because if the panels are the same, there´s only a firmware update that we need.

I really don´t care because my TV is perfect for me. No need to change this TRUMOTION setting but if the rest have it... why not me ?

Agreed. My TV was made in Feb 2012 and so far I love my TV. I don't think I am experiencing the flashlighting issues that others have seen so luckily I haven't had to exchange it. I just think its ridiculous that it is taking so damn long to release the update. Obviously they have the 03.20.93 firmware update ready that enables TruMotion so I don't see why they don't just release it on their server. Hopefully it comes sometime next week.
I still don't understand why European countries got the update already but the United States is left high and dry. LG continues to disappoint me

The panels and hardware are the exactly the same between the February and May models. The only difference is the firmware. So you don't need to worry if you thought the February models were lemons. My 47 in tv was made in Feb 2012 and I haven't experienced any problems so far.

I really haven't decided yet. I like the feature but it causes problems with some videos so it all depends. I was watching netflix via my ps3 with trumotion set to smooth with good results. But when watching the HD download of Game of Thrones, trumotion would cause constant stuttering followed by a few seconds of smoothness.
