Best black levels of the low-end models?

Hey guys, so I've been watching the plasma scene for a while now and I notice that the 2012 models are starting to roll out and I feel like I should be making a decision soon.

My budget is strictly $500 and under and am looking for a 42"-43" screen plasma and I'm wondering what you guy advise as the best. My main preference that I notice the most in tv's is black levels, I simple want the tv that has blacks as close to the black frame as possible, so darkest blacks that a cheap tv can produce I guess .

I've owned and taken back one plasma already which was the LG 42" PT350 which I was disappointed in in regards to its black levels which seemed awfully grey for a plasma (I also tried the pot tweaks but any slight changes to the pots caused the screen to **** up really badly so I took the tv back).

So if anyone has any 2011's to recommend that are probably going on sale as they are being pushed out or if there are any 2012 models that are supposed to be better (preferably only if blacks are supposed to be noticeably blacker) I would love some tips/advice.

Thanks.

Sorry to bump my own thread but I just checked and the 2011 Samsung Pn43d450 is 399!! That seems really good to me and its because the pn43e450 the 2012 version just rolled out and its 499 so as a second question is the e450 worth the 100$ more or is the d450 worth the 100$ less lol?

Thanks.

TC-P42X3 or TC-P42X5 would probably be your best option if black level is most important.

Based on what I have seen and the measurements posted on-line, all the new Panasonic's including their entry level PDP's have very good to excellent black levels. Most of the Sammy's are pretty decent. Except for some select models, the LG's need room for improvement in that category.

If black is important, stick with a Panasonic. Samsung is also a good choice but their black levels are pretty mediocre below the D6500.
