I need a popcorn machine for my Home Theater/ Game Room. I want a larger one. We have a total 14 seats in our movie room. We usually have quite a few people around us since we have 4 teenage boys. I need some recomendations and maybe a link.... Thanks guys and gals.

Paragon goldmedal and benchmark are usually recommended but there are other cheaper brands that have decent reviews it all depends on how many people you will have over if you buy say a 6 or 8 ounce popper you might have to make a few batches but it only takes about 3 to 5 minutes per batch. I know paragon makes 14 and 16 ounce poppoers but they are close to a thousand dollars. I have an 8 ounce and it gives a decent amount of corn for 4 people but we also like popcorn

I have a 4 oz Gold Medal "Fun Pop" machine, but I've been pushing 6 oz popcorn and it does it nicely with no problem.

Personally, I would stick with the aforementioned manufacturers, Paragon, Gold Medal, & Benchmark. With that many people needed to serve, I would go with at least a 6 ounce machine.

If you like Star Wars, there is a 6 oz machine with cart online for under $400, before shipping. Just do a search for Star Wars popcorn machine. The machine and cart are made by Paragon.

Thanks guys. I am thinking at least an 8 ounce maybe even a 12 ounce. But after seeing the prices probably an 8 ounce. Does anybody have a link to a good place to order it.

Not really into star wars but the price is right.

All of the machines are prettty easy to clean usually i just wipe mine out with a wet paper towel after every use and then like once a month ill wipe it down good with a little soap or vinegar and water also if you can spare the extra cash an old maid drawer and a heated deck are real nice features

The price is right but are they any good?

I have a Theater Pop 6. Have done 30 or so 6 oz batches and some 4 oz as well. Heated deck and heat lamp, old maid drawer are all good. Got it from Roman (screen name rsh) on this board. The family has really enjoyed it. For 5 kids I do two 6 oz batches or a 6 and a 4. Once hot you can run batches pretty fast, so for 14 people you might have 5 min of warmup and 15 of popping.

That price is half what I paid, I doubt that you could cut that much cost without a sacrifice somewhere.

I have a 8 ounce great northern from discount tommy and i know two other people with same machine one is three years old never had a problem but we dont use them all the time maybe once a week not saying they are the best people say paragon and the likes are much better but for double the price or more as for build quality it isnt the greatest either but nothing that cant be adjusted i guess it depends on how much you use it and how much you are willing to spend i paid 200 for mine

Wow that is one long run-on sentence!

I considered a Great Northern machine but in the end went with the higher quality Gold Medal.

A lot of people are happy with their Great Northern though and the price is nice so it really all boils down to what you are looking for.
