Hey guys, I'm just finishing up my theater room here's what I have:
Toshiba HDTV and Optoma GT720 projector hooked up to
Yamaha rx-v667 AV Receiver via HDMI.
To the Yamaha receiver I have a PS3 and XBOX 360 hooked up via HDMI.
For surround sound I have Energy Speakers.
Everything was working great until today.
Although the HDMI light is on while selected to PS3 HDMI input on the receiver along with surround sound I can get no picture with the Optoma GT720 projector due to the projector saying searching/no hdmi signal UNLESS i put a blu ray into the PS3 and it automatically plays the blu ray then the signal is found by the projector and it works. If I quit out of the blu ray to go to the regular PS3 menu screen it loses the signal and doesn't come back.
I can see the hdmi 1080p signal found by the projector once the blu ray is inserted and boots up then the picture comes with the PS3 but otherwise nothing shows up.
Some things I've tried/tested.
1. PS3 works fine if I use the HDTV and not the Projector.
2. XBOX 360 signal is still seen immediately and functions with the projector perfectly.
3. AV RECEIVER SCREEN comes up normally if I switch to one of the non used inputs.
4. All cables are good.
If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it I'm out of ideas.
