I need an inexpensive pre amp

I have a Pio Plasma and a pio blu ray player. So I think I am fine with video processing, that is if I understand the term completely, which I belive means I can assist my TV to deliver a better pic.

Having said this, are there any decent pre amps out there where I wouldn't have pay extra for great video processing or even 3D. I do not need that technology.

Ulitmately I would like something that would complement nicely both my elites.
Thanks

When you mention "inexpensive".... do you have a budget in mind??

This is the only one I know of south of $1500:

From what I have read it was a very buggy unit when it was first released and I've seen conflicting reports on whether those bugs have been fully resolved.

I guess I would be better off getting an el cheapo receiver and then purchasing a seperate amp

If I may ask... what is the set up you have?? Are you running Klipsch, Polk, Meggies, B&W etc.??

What kind and how many speakers do you need to drive? You can get a Denon 3312 for $800 and have a decent amp section (and preouts), and then you could add external amplification only if you actually need it.

Problem is inexpensive receivers have eliminated Pre-outs. I went used and back a couple of years and just got a Denon 2809. HDMI 1.3, Audessy, DTS/Dolby HD formats and analog preouts for under $400 on eBay.
