Sherwood R-904N Changed to R904

It looks like Sherwood no longers lists the R-904N..

Now they are listing a R-904.. It looks like they dumped VuNow.

Dumping VuNow??? Interesting..... I have a feeling they are having trouble with VuNow and will not admit it.

Here is another odd thing.. This may possibly be an image of th inside... I circled in red where this riser and VuNow PCB plug into.

It looks like everything inside is pretty much the same except that the riser card and the VuNow card are missing.

I think there is more to the story with Jeff leaving Sherwood.

Nice, since I don't need the network function, seem like nice improvement with hdmi 1.4 and BR.

Any review yet?

Something tells me that if Sherwood would release some firmware, US R-904N owners could possibly enjoy HDMI 1.4

Maybe it is just an undocumented feature.. I personally don't need 1.4 now, but it is interesting..

Ah, if they only had Trinnov in it, it would be perfect....

Now that I've heard what Trinnov can do with the R-972, I don't think I'd ever be happy with Audyssey, or another similar room EQ scheme.

But I would also love a compact, cool running, efficient and reasonably priced Class D AVR.
