Any experts out there? I NEED HELP!

I just bought the Panasonic TC-P55ST30, when changing channels at random, the picture would go to snow.
What I did to try to solve the problem.
Tried 3 different Directv boxes same problem.
Changed HDMI cables same problem. Even bought high speed 1.4 HDMI.
Changed HDMI input to input 2 and 3, same problem.
Kept the box in one non native format, same problem.
De activated Viera link, same problem.
Switched AC wall outlet, took it off surge protector, plugged it in different outlet, same problem.
Finally, best buy exchanged the TV, repeated the above, same problem. Here is what worked that stopped it, one is switched to component cables but I seen a loss of pictue quality.

Also this weird combination in the HDMI cable setting, deactivated Viera link and kept the box in one format either 720p or 1080i. When I put the box in native, after channel 565, if it switched to a 480p SD format, it would turn to snow. Kept Viera link off, put Directv box out of native and chose either 1080i or 720p, NO SNOW when changing. Back to native again, after channel 565 when it went to 480P, snow, and nothing got rid of the snow screen until I turned the TV off and back on again.
It also turned to snow when I had CNN on and MANUALLY went from 720p to 480p using the format button on the Directv remote.
Also this has happened mostly going from the weather channel that downloads a lot of local weather info.
WTF??????????????? deactivating Viera link and kept the box in one format either 720p or 1080i is the only thing that prevented this problem. From what I understand Sumsung had a similar problem, called HANDSHAKING between box and TV in HDMI. Also some of my transponders are low, could this have something to with it, but none of my other sets have done this. Can anyone offer any insight, should I return the TV and get another S2? I have the S2 in the other room, I may get a black screen where it says searching for signal but never snow.

Is this the latest firmware that is on your tv http://shop.panasonic.com/shop/model...s&support#tabs If not, try updating it to it.

You are stepping down in quality (and size). Why not replace it with the same model?

Re read the post I did replace it...same problem.
I sat in the middle of both rooms with the S2 and and that train wrek, the S2 had a better picture, plus the S2 doesn't have the soap opera, effect! Not stepping down in size, I bought this http://www.jr.com/panasonic/pe/PAN_TCP54S2/

I have the 42 S2 VERY happy with it. Cnet rated it @ 1080 moving lines of resolution. The one I'm getting rid of will only give you 1080 motion with the motion smoother on. MASSIVE SOAP OPERA EFFECT, even with the motion smoother off it looks fake. I even cranked the sharpness up to 85, no grain video look. I just don't like it, the snowy blank screen was the cherry on top. One TV company trying to keep up with the hype of 480 hz tvs is what's going on. People are too dumb to know what they are seeing is not reality.

Also I just clicked that link, I GOT THE LAST one! SOLD OUT! No motion smoother BS! YEA!
Trust me, sometimes you think something is better, it's not. I had two 42 inch sets but I wanted to get a bigger size for the living room because I expanded it. I figure the ST30 was going to be almost the same.... Yea right. They can have it back, I'll even put a bow on it for Best Buy. Hope someone who watches a lot of soap operas ends up with it. LOL!

Yea, like I said in the other thread, my son claimed it. I have an S2 in the bedroom. He said the 3d wasn't as good on the ST, and again, it keeps turning to snow at random when changing channels, neither one of us liked it. I like the VT, and the S2, my opinion anyway.
I don't give a s#%t about 3d, why my son claimed it. Should have the new S by Friday I hope. Hope it's like the one I have in the bedroom, thats a 42.
