47LV5500 LG - Can I turn off Auto Dimming??

I'm at my wits end.. I've tried to get used to it. But after watching through Harry Potter Deathly Hollows Part I, I'm done. The first half hour of the movie was almost completely unwatchable thanks to LG's auto dimming setting. Basically if it's almost black, or the average blackness of the screen is a certain number, it dims the screen to make it seem it even darker. This is great for scenes where it really is black. But when there are just a couple of words on a black background, the words are VERY hard the read. Same thing with any dark scene. The auto dimming makes it even darker.. I've looked over the menu, and I can't seem to find anything that seems to turn off this feature. I refuse to believe that there is no way to turn it off, because I can't be the only one having problems with it.. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

LG calls this their Energy Saving feature. Try turning that off.
