Couch against back wall, Surrounds at the side, Need pics of clean surround placement

Hello,

In my new condo, I am setting up my 5.1 system. The front stage is easy, but the room basically forces me to place the couch against the back wall.

I am using Klipsch RS3 surrounds. http://www.klipsch.com/rs-3-surround-speaker

I will probably move the couch about a foot from the wall to allow the speakers to be placed slightly behind.

Can anyone post pictures as to what they do with the surrounds ? I am thinking of putting them on stands on each side of the couch.

If you can put the speakers at least 4' away from your listening area, I think you would be better off - just my opinion. This helps keep the focus on your front stage. For ideas on how others place there surround speakers, it may serve you to check out the "What's Your System Configuration" thread under the "Other Areas of Interest" forum section. There are a lot of great typical set-ups there with pictures. Be careful though, you could be there all day.... ; )
