So I'm moving my home theater set into the basement and the fiancee is forcing me to keep the living room presentable, lol. I'm in the market for a slim/compact receiver and am looking for suggestions. Bit of background on what I'm trying to set up:
Panasonic 60" Plasma
Inputs:
AppleTV, Xbox360
Speakers/Sub:
2x PSB Image B6
SVS-SB12-NSD
I need a decent receiver to go with this living room setup. Preferably something compact or at least decent looking, BUT the problem is I need HDMI or optical thanks to my appleTV and Xbox. Was looking at a few Marantz and NAD options but none have those.
I'd also be open to a good 2.1 stereo receiver. Key thing is I need HDMI or Optical inputs, and not really sure where I should be looking.
Trying to keep the price tag at $500 or lower.
