Hi, I have a Yamaha RX-V667 receiver for my home theatre. I have a Naim CD5i and Nait 5i for CD playback. I'm trying to use my Yamaha as a pre-amp, passing the L&R front pre-outputs into the AV inputs on the Nait. The Nait is then connected to my front L&R speakers.
I am getting a loud humming noise as soon as I select "AV" input on the Nait. (CD's play just fine when then input on the Nait is "CD").
What are some possible culprits for the hum, and how can I fix it? Is there a better way to enjoy home theatre and my Naim through one set of main speakers?
