I'm gonna guess that with Julian Fellowes on this project, it will be an excellent story .. although we all know how it ends ..

You never know. Maybe we'll get the story of the few who lived and how their lives were changed.
More likely, are extra human stories before it goes down.

True .. if Fellowes sticks with his Downton Abbey style, (which, BTW, starts with the Titanic sinking) .. wicked behavior, witty, great sets, costumes, etc .. this mini series should turn out to be great ..

If you have not seen Downton Abbey, I'd highly recommend it, and I believe it's on Netlix streaming as well ...

This will be interesting to see how it compares to Cameron's in terms of ship reconstruction, settings, and other special effects.

I'll make sure I have plenty of room on my DVR for this.

Could not agree more .. while some may think another re-telling could never equal Cameron's, a British twist with as good a creator as Fellowes is sure sounds appealing at the get go ..

It was a British ship ..

Perhaps it's the Broadway musical version? I'll never forget taking my younger daughter (at the time around 8) to see the play since all the kids at that time were fascinated because of the movie's romanatic story line.

The play actually won a Tony for best muscial to which my uncle commented "It wasn't a very good year."

Sorry, off-topic, but I had to chime in.

Considering Cameron's "retelling" was largely a joke wrapped in a teen romance and special effects I don't think the world needs an equal.

A factually correct drama based on the events would be more than worthy.

I'm guessing your not in for the 3-D version ..

His account of the events were fairly accurate .. if looking at JUST the events ..

And yes, teen romance is what drove the popularity at the box office ..
