Complete newbie, need help looking for a gaming monitor.

Hi, I've been looking into getting a decent gaming monitor to replace my current 22 inch one, but I really don't know what I'm looking for. Is it worth the money to get 2560x1440, specifically the monitor linked below? Or is this a waste of my money? Any suggestions if so?

Another one of these... http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showp...75&postcount=1

and no doubt from the same person.

DO NOT RESPOND, let the mods deal with this.

Dear fellow, I can guarentee you that I am in no way connected to the man to whom you have linked, my dilemma is entirely seperate. Aside from that, have I made this post in the incorrect place? I apologize in advance if I have.

So the screen names and brand new member are just coincidental then...?

rofloctopus

Rofl Copter

Sorry but I am not buying it, tons of BS posts have been popping up here recently (and always late at night when people assume the mods are not paying attention).

* If you are indeed legit then yes this is the wrong forum for your question.

Ah, my favorite part of joining a new forum is to be immeidately ridiculed and accused of something that I not only didn't do but didn't know existed. I can prove that I have this screen name, "rofl copter," in several places and is a far older name than something I may have made up on the spot or have adapted from a previous name in order to somehow annoy a community I just discovered existed. On top of that, what sort of a fool would I have to be to make two accounts under the same name, after one was apparently deleted, with the same question? Did you not invoke any rational thought process at all before throwing at me this accusation?

Nobody said anything about two accounts under the same name, one deleted nor the same question. Your screen name is very similar to another BRAND NEW account that is obviously someone playing games (the link I posted). This odd behavior has been happening here at AVS recently and the similarities of your screen name/account being brand new and the type of post is VERY suspect.

Anyway if you are legit then take your question here... http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/forumdisplay.php?f=145

Beyond that it's for the mods to decide and I would bet they will be watching.
