I updated the firmware and it's 697. Still no good

Hiya i have a bp620 lg blu ray player and have a few usb sticks. The newest one is a 64gb kingston fat32 formatted stick and some films will play some won't. They are all the same file format and supported by the player. I though it might of been the films themselves but when i put them on another stick they work fine its just my new one im having problems with. I have searched google and just cant find an answer im really confused.

How to make LG620 pick up Synology NAS DS413 over WiFi?

Hi all, I've got the Synology DS413 but couldn't figure out how to make LG620 player to pick up NAS over WiFi. I tried Media player (the arrow button) but the NAS drive is not there. I tried Setting/Network but there's no option to search for network drive... In contrast, my Popcorn Hour C-300 picked up the NAS drive via WiFi (show up in Network Share) and I was able to access files from the Popcorn Hour just fine.

Could anybody have experience with NAS - LG connection help me out? The NAS thing is new to me with a lot of new terms to learn so I'm not sure I've done everything right.

On the other hand, I'm extremely happy with the LG620. It plays Bluray with ease (as expected) but moreover, it plays MKV files (via USB) with ease too, even files that my Popcorn C300 refused to play (deems corrupted/error...) it even plays separate subttle files...

I bought a Blu-ray player BP 6420P with 5.1 stereo in Germany. I am wondering if it is possible to change the app country to US so that I can have the premium apps like netflix/hulu plus? In the menu it only allows switching country to Continental Europe (yes not even UK). I understand it is impossible on Samsung smartTV through a hidden menu so is it also possible to do so on LG blu-ray player? Thanks

The Simplink is pretty nice, I don't even use my bluray control, just the tv remote. I have the LG 50PA6500 and the LG BP220. Plus both support 24p playback.

I've just bought a 520 (I'm in the UK) - I've set it up but its saying the app store isn't available in my country? Is this correct? I have updated the software/firmware to 697.

I fixed my issue by returning the machine back to factory spec and then trying again - all ok now. Hope that helps!

Hey guys, just a few questions:

-If you turn off the player while watching a blu-ray disc will it pick up where you left off once you turn it back on? My LG BD570 initially would boot up from title every single time but a later firmware update enabled the player to resume where it left off. I assume and would hope this would be the case on the BP620.

-This is only a minor concern, but if you are streaming a video from a DLNA server, stop it, and go to play it again will it restart the video or pick up where you left off? The top Amazon customer review says that last year's BD670 would resume video in this case while the BP620 does not. I'm wondering if a firmware update has addressed this issue. Not a big deal either way but just curious.

-Has anybody tried this with a Buffalo Linkstation Pro NAS? Mine currently works great with my old BD570, but I bought a new Sony BDP-S590 that refuses to acknowledge it. I've tried for hours to get them to cooperate but the Sony will not detect its DLNA server. Buffalo seems to believe that they are simply not compatible, but based on my past experience with the LG BD570 I am hopeful for ths BP620.

About a week ago, i installed a new 50" LG LS4000 LED TV and this last Friday replaced an older Sony BDP 570 with the LG BP620 Blu-Ray. Thus far, the 620 and LS4000 work flawlessly together with an Onkyo TX-SR805 receiver being the connecting hub for all my devices.

In my opinion, it makes sense as most OEMs design products with synergy in mind.

Today I added networking including Cinemanow. All the apps work as described.

the lg 620 is on sale at costco for $80.

i was reading the specs and it says

i need wifi so does this player include it or not? i dont want to have to buy a separate adapter or anything

You're good to go. You can use a wifi connection or a cable.

Anyone having problems with LG Apps and Netflix on your LG blu-ray players today? My BP620 is not able to connect to Netflix and LG Apps say "your country not supported". Very strange!

BP620 Not playing in 3D

Hi just bought the LG BP620 3D player but it wont play 3D DVD. I already have a LG47LD TV which has 3D and was told that they would automatically recognise each other but this is not the case. Wont allow me to play 3D DVD's and says 'Your Blue-Ray 3D player has not detected that it is connected to a 3D display'!!!!!! Please consult your Blue-Ray 3D player manual' (which I have but it doesn't help) Does anyone have an ideas. I am using a HDMi cable to connect the two together. Cheers

Hi. I've just got a BP620 (in the UK). It works well apart from playback of my 3D Blu Ray discs. Titanic 3D crashes back to the player menu after a few seconds play. Avatar after 3D after about 5 minutes and the same for Prometheus 3D. Hugo 3d plays for most of the movie then crashes near the end. That's all my 3d movies not working properly! I have the latest firmware and have done a factory reset. Using high speed HDMI cable. 2d playback and LoveFilm all work fine. LG (uk) customer service claim it is an issue with new release 3d movies - but i am not completely convinced! Is anyone else having similar problems with these or other new release 3d movies on this player?

Yes - LG support have told me it is due to the HDMI cable not being 3D compatible so I've gone and and spent another £40 on a new one and it still doesn't work!!! Ah.... It plays Blu-Ray fine but the 3D just won't recognise. Even on the settings it is greyed out and I cannot change it. Anyone have any ideas? The TV model is an LG 47LD950. and the 3d Blue Ray player is an LG model no BP620.

I've heard elsewhere that then 3d cable thing is a bit of a myth. A £8 cable from Tesco should be fine. However, this doesn't help your problem. I'm new to this forum and not super technical, but I have the same blu ray player as you (but different lg tv). If you still have this problem after factory reseting both the tv and the blu ray player, the fact that the 3d settings are grey on your blu ray suggests there may be a communication problem between the tv and the player. i could be completely wrong (so please, other forum users, correct me if i am), but my guess is there is a fault, them, in the blu ray or the tv. You can check this by finding a friend with a 3d blu ray (eg playstation 3) and/or a 3d tv and seeing if either your tv or blu ray doesn't work with their equipment in 3d mode. Or ring LG customer service again (i know this is not fun as they are not great - and see if you can get from more help from them). for fun, you may want try a 3d video from you tube (in the premium menu on the bp620) just to prove the telly can play it! M

LG BP220 Blu-ray player, able to play music on the player from external HD but not on computer

I just bought a new HD (USB 3.0) and transferred all my music files to the new drive, then I played music on my LG BP220 Blu-ray player with the new drive for a couple days. Then yesterday, I tried to add a few more MP3 files onto the drive, turned out my computer could not find the music folder anymore. Now on the HD, there are a new BUDA folder and a file named "music" (my MUSIC folder is gone), I don't know what to do. I am still able to play music on the LG blu-ray player with all music files are still there but can't read them on any computers or even with WD media player. I'll try to contact LG support after the holidays but I'm quite worried that I'll never recover my music files.

A friend of mine bought bp620 at Bestbuy and I can't get the divx to work. When she tries to play divx files that work on a philips DVD player, she gets a "Video Format Not Supported" message. I downloaded the manual and the DIVX VOD is missing from the setup menu.

be sure the HDMI cable is v .1.4

I talked user support at LG and apparently they dropped Divx support in the latest revision of DP620. I downloaded the latest version of the manual and there is no reference to divx
