Elemental Designs A7-450 - Page 5

You did great and I wouldn't look back for a second. You have just stupid output and virtually zero limitations on 99% of anything you want to playback.

I was an INCH away from grabbing an A7-450 (and eventually, a pair) but when JTR became a local company for me (literally 7 mins away) the decision to go with Jeff became a no-brainer on multiple fronts.

Well done and have fun.

I hear that the subversive gets great reviews but was just way too expensive IMHO. The cap is priced a little better but I didn't want the Dayton amp. I was going to put the 2400 watt amp that Jeff and mark use in the a7 to drive both subs but just added too much to the cost and audyssey xt32 would have been useless seeing only one sub. Those amps are expensive.

I hear ya. I will more than likely end up with dual A7-450 myself, for mostly the same reasons. I know they are a good product, and price is fantastic. To add to that, Alex and Brett have both trated me better than I could have ever asked for, so I would like to give them the business.

Always answers the phone, happy to answer questions, never makes me feel rushed like he's trying to get me off the phone.

Exactly! I have had so many talks with Alex, none of which were ended by him. Those guys are the type that you could talk to all day about your setup or new gear.

With a sub company that close to you, and that good, I think I would have done the same.

My 450 is finally on the way to me. I can't wait to get it setup and dialed in! My girlfriend is already dreading it. My 350 was too much for her to bear so i can just imagine how she'll react to this one! LOL

these were older progress photos.

My cabinets were shrunk down width wise to 22 inches. The three inches were then added back to the depth.

The first pic is a original cabinet 25 inches wide, second pic is my cabinets.

Mine arrives at the house today! I am stoked!
I am trying to plan out the demo material that I will use to dial it in tonight.

yes. yes they are.

I added three more 20amp circuits to my room after I got them. One for each sub, one for the xpa5,5508,bluray,and tv, one for lights and other receptacles. Total of four 20 amps in there now.

Nice, I run my system off 1 20 amp dedicated line and the living room circuit of 20 amps. Living room circut has the triple Submerisves on it with no issues. Ran Quad empires at one time also.

A picture of my baby. Placed a 2-liter into the frame so that you all can see the scale of this monster.
It hasn't blinked at anything I've thrown at it. LOVE it!
