It would make sense that Darbee let AVS and other retailers know of this issue, so that products are not shipped w/o the fix. Unfortunately, mine is on its way to me.
I am disappointed that QA missed this, but understand that a small firm cannot hope to have all the necessary products and combinations to adequately test.
Would be best to categorize this as a hardware beta, until enough combinations are tested that cover most of the popular source/destination devices. Or at least a list of published and certifiably tested combinations should be made available to buyers.
I don't want to squelch things for DarbeeVision, but better to have informed and happy customers, rather than dissatisfied ones, dontcha' think?

I'm confident that Darbee will deal with this to everyone's satisfaction, though of course we all wish the bug had been caught earlier. Darbee is a young company that has produced an impressive product at a good price, but seems to be experiencing the pains of rapid growth.
I decided to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org last night about compatability with Lumagen Radiance products. In the interest of full disclosure, and so that I don't mis-represent what they said, here is the exchange:
I purchased a Darblet from AV Science; it was shipped today. Today I read on the AVS Forum Darbee Vision Darblet thread that a possible compatibility issue with Lumagen Radiance products and the Darblet has been discovered. I own a Lumagen Radiance XS-3D, so do I need to swap out my new unit or have it flashed with new firmware?
We are not sure that the Radiance issue extends to the XS-3D model. Just test it and if there is an issue, we will engage an exchange process. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience, we will make an exchange process as simple as possible for you.

Great customer service, as they responded in a little over two hours, and it was even past business hours in California, where they are located.
So, it would seem the full details of Lumagen Radiance product line compatibility with the Darblet are not yet known. Thus far, I think there has only been an identified and confirmed issue with a Radiance Mini-3D, If I remember correctly
from recent posts.
I hope this helps.
