Interesting. I seem to recall another mention of sparkles with some settings but I can't recall who in the thread mentioned it and specifically what the problematic setting was, though I'm guessing it was 4:4:4.
I'm running both Tivo HD and Popcorn Hour C200 into Lumagen XS to JVC RS35. The Oppo players both BR and DVD are set to send 4:2:2 as well.
My settings are wide open on the Popcorn Hour, attempting to send the max capability of the source to the Lumagen, which is set for 4:2:2 on the input of the Lumangen, and output on the Lumagen as 4:2:2, and with the input side of the JVC also specified as 4:2:2 (I think some displays don't allow for this).
On the Tivo HD I go Native which means the channels are sending either 720p or 1080i (I cannot control color space there).
I never see sparkles and only have the magenta issue (due to the 4:2:2 setting along with the switching inputs, and within Tivo HD changing channels that alternate from 1080i to 720p). Willing to keep these settings with the expectation that the magenta issue with be resolved.
