Yes I agree its up to the consumer to accept or reject the bugs vs benefits.
The one thing that concerns me with the Darbee is, I ran my Spears & Munsil disc test pattern on my VT50, Everything except the Luma/Chroma test patterns checked out. Without the Darbee all test patterns check ok. Plus the Magenta burst using the Darbee.
There doesn't seem to be any factual statements on why the Luma/Chroma is falling when test patterns are run using the B&S disc. The Magenta burst by itself, I would say is a handshake issue but with the failed Luma/Chroma test patterns has me concerned that the issue is a much bigger problem than just a handshake.
Now for the good news.
I bought both my Darbee and Mini from AV Science, for one simple reason, they don't give excuses they give action. I highly recommend AVS store. I would suggest calling Mike (*5) at AVS rather than ordering online.
UPDATE: After researching my two issues (see above), I am now fairly confident that the issues are not a real problem. I am keeping my Darbee.
