Hat Channel Ceiling questions

Hi! I have a room 9"x10" that I will be attaching two sheets 5/8" sheet rock (with green glue) to the ceiling on hat channel & whisper clips. The joists run parallel to the 9" walls. I'm wondering what my configuration and spacing should be for the hat channel and sheet rock. Given the 6" from the 10" wall on either side, I can run 3 more rows of hat channel spaced 24". I figure I'll have to space them less since I need at least 3 sheets of 48" wide drywall running parallel to the hat channel and each sheet needs at least 2 rows of hat channel(?). Any help configuring would be appreciated, thanks!

Hat channel is generally spaced 24" for a single 5/8" sheetrock.
But for hanging two layers, I'd be spacing it no more than 16" on center.
So for a room 9 ft wide you would need 7 runs of hat channel.

And you run the 8ft edge of the rock 90*(perpendicular) to the hat channel.

channel spacing for two layers is 24, three 16. clip spacing varies. Your clip vendor should provide the details, Contact Ted White
