MP3 player question...

I'm using the Sansa Rhapsody 8gig MP3 player (I know, it's an older unit but I can change the battery out myself...) and I need some help with MP3 files.

I rips CDs to my hard drive and convert them to MP3 using Alto MP3 Maker and they are in the same order as on the CD. I can burn then to a disc to listen to them in my vehicle's MP3 player and it works great...

But, the problem is when I put these tracks on my Sansa MP3 player...they don't play in the same order as they are in the folder.

What can be done about this? They are numbered, you know... 01, 02, 03, etc... Do I need to rip them with some other software?

Any suggestions and ideas on what to do would be appreciated.

I just heard about a program called "Mp3DirSorter"...it's supposed to make tracks play in order.

Anybody ever use this prog?

It's at: http://download.cnet.com/Mp3DirSorte...-11096611.html

I use a free tag editor program called Mp3Tag to properly edit the metadata, rename/correct, imbed album art, check my mp3 files, etc. etc. It supports numerous audio formats so I use it for other codecs as well, you should check your files on it to see if they're tagged correctly and fix if needed. For my older Sansa players e260, clip v1's and v2's I've noticed for mp3 files older Sansa's work best with write ID3v2.3UTF-16 and my e260 does not like ID3v1, so I have the options set to automatically remove what it doesn't like.
