Yes you can... but use the mediafire link posted further down the thread so you don't have to login to get the file...

This thread is awesome - I'd still be on 101 if it weren't for this thread! cool.gif

Is there a real difference between 104 and 108? I was planning on upgrading, but fixed the issue I was dealing with via updating the 3D glasses firmware. Now I'm not sure if it's worth the hassle/risk.

Yep I was hoping someone could give us some feedback as well!

I upgraded all along up to the latest 108 and from 101, I never saw a difference, or at least a striking one.
I have also been calibrating my projector every 200 hours or so. I am now at 1000 hours with this lamp and as I said, except the foreseeable degradation in light output, gamma curve and loss in red, I do not see any difference between the FW versions.
If you do, enlighten me.

Maybe a strange idea, but you'll never know,... if the unit accept this, you might end up with the Iris possibility in 3D
Grand idea! Besides Iris in 3D, we might end up getting THX color modes in our units too. Now we just need a scapegoat to try it out. Anyone planning on returning/exchanging their 5010? Please give this a try!

I sent my proj for repairs a while ago and they updated it to 108 it seems. Image in eco mode is really bright compared to before, but then again think they also switched the bulb.

I just installed V 108 today and it appears to have cured an on-going problem that I was having with my 6010, which was a high fan blast and no lamp strike cycle on start-up. Previously this symptom could only be rectified by turning the unit off at the rear on/off switch and then turning back on.

This is a great relief and I think I saw that other people had also experienced this issue on the Official 6010 thread.

That's not what a scapegoat is. You mean guinea pig...

You are right! Thanks for correction. English is not my first language.
It would be awesome if 5020 firmware could add additional things to 5010.

Amazing! I've sometimes get that exact "problem", it starts and then goes into somekind of superfan noice for about 1-2 minutes but then it starts up as usually without having to restart, no biggie but if it is resolved in an update its great. I'm on 1.05 right now.

Actually I think I amended that in an earlier post to say that the fan noise/flashing blue came back again after about 10 start-ups! Epson initially told me that 1.08 should solve the issue but then went back on their word and told me 1.08 does not solve the problem. The Level 2 support technician did stress that however long the high fan cycle lasts, do not be tempted to switch off the projector on the rear of the unit; PJ must still cycle up and down normally in order to prevent shortening life of product.
