Technics SL-MC400 cd changer adjustment

Have a Technics SL-MC400 110+1 cd changer that doesn't go to the proper number when chosen(1 number off). Is there some way of adjusting this to "index" correctly...I am in process of replacing drive belt for carrier unit.

I have had the same problem with mine for some time, then within the last few months the drive mechanism started malfunctioning all together. Preliminary analysis suggests the drive belt is worn out. Did you fix your problem by replacing the belt?
