Nec pg6+

Thread Starter
I recently got a NEC 6 PG +, I turn it on, show 00 status (which means no error, right?)

But none of the tube come on, what do I need to check next?

Sorry, this is my first time have a CRT projector, so might need to ask a lot of questions here.

Thank you all in advance.

Do you have the remote? The set is pretty useless without it. If you have the remote, put up a test pattern. If you get the test patterns, then you just need to send it a signal. The PG+ may or may not have a video/Svideo board in it. Feed it a signal from a laptop or PC via the RGB inputs. If you don't get an image, then you either have a bad deflection board or video output board that is killing the picture to the tubes. Feel free to email me through my site below for further troubleshooting.

Cheers!

Yes, it come with the full function remote and metal kit to hang it upside down.

When I push the button on the remote, I can see the light blinking indicating it is receving the signal.

I did hook up a laptop using RGBHV cable from vga output.

Currently no tube will come on (I looked through the lens)

I will post on your web forum too, thanks for your help.

What is the correct key sequence to put up a test pattern? I did read thrugh the install manual once, but can not figure out when I see nothing coming out of the tube.
