Order one of each and send back the one you don't like. Just kidding. Anyone in your area that you could contact to have a listen. I have heard dual Empires before and not the VTF-15 yet.

Coming from the ported LAVA 12 you might find the sealed Empire to be somewhat different than what you are used to...the VTF-15H has tuning options that should make it easier to find the sound you are looking for.

Thanks for that tip. I'm trying to go or more accuracy than output (I think). Would that make a difference??

I have heard of amp issues with the Empires, you may want to search some threads about the topic. Vote goes to the VTF-15H.

Most of us VTF owners will tell you that they handle music very well which is usually what one means by accuracy at least my HT/music is around 50/50
varying from rock,blues and classical while still delivering the depth and punch modern DTS-master Blu-rays have to offer.

I am a VTF-15 owner and I couldn't be happier.

All I can say is that coming from a Velodyne DLS-5000r this is a major upgrade.
