I presume you've seen the Sound Setting menu with the three Volume adjustments, Low, Med, High?

In my experience, if you increase the Depth to max (20), then you'll need to try that trick I mentioned about looking at the 3D image without the glasses. With the depth at 20, adjust the viewpoint in either direction until text onscreen looks as clear as possible but objects still look blurred. I can't guarantee that it will get rid of all the dizziness and eyestrain, but it's likely the best you'll be able to get while sitting closer to the screen.
Sometimes it just takes a few minutes for your eyes to adjust and get a good focus on things in 3D, but if you feel too much fatigue or headaches coming, then I'd say it's time to think about rearranging your setup so that you're not sitting so close.

If i adjust viewpoint to + ... the images jumps between blurry and non-blurry for a second ... kind of like image shifting effect. (Problem Visible with glasses & without)
Can u create same issue on your TV ?

What is the movie source? Blu-ray? DVD? downloaded movie via TV's USB input?

I ask because I sometimes get stuttering (or lag) when I watch downloaded content, usually it's .mkv files.

If I can not get this rectified I will be returning this set as well and at that point I have no idea what to get.

redlightracer, I don't have the answer to your question but I'd be interested in knowing what prompted you to return ST50 and pick LM7600. I am looking at these two as well and I can pick up a 60" ST50 for less than a 55" LM7600. Was buzzing an issue for you with ST50? I had a Samsung plasma with a bit of buzz. Thanks.

Hey folks, just wanted to pop in and let people know (if it hasn't been mentioned yet) that DirecTV remotes can be programmed using the same code (10856) to enter the engineer mode on these sets. Just program the remote like so:

http://www.ehow.com/how_8579776_make-directv-controller-control-tv.html

I also had to enter the password "0413" after hitting "3" to get to the advanced menu, although apparently it can also be "0000" sometimes:

http://openlgtv.org.ru/wiki/index.php/Access_hidden_service_menus_/_modes

This information can be used in conjunction with the previous guide on engineer mode:

http://www.avsforum.com/t/1399636/official-lg-xxlm7600-owners-thread/930#post_22236794

In any case, that saved me $20 on a RCA universal remote, so maybe it will save someone else some money, too...

Good info!

I have both of my tv's connected via OTA's and the picture quality is impeccable. Current firmware on both is 4.12.23. What i cannot figure out is why since both tv's "upgraded" to 4.12.23 about a week ago the volume of the tv speakers is literally half of what it was prior. I used to turn the volume to approx. 15 using the tv speakers and since the firmware "upgrade" i now have to turn the volume to approx. 30...The volume at that level is just a comfortable listening level...i've looked at every setting on the tv and nothing seems to make a difference...go figure

Yep. I've noticed the same thing. I've messed around with the different settings in the Sound menu (Low, Med, High adjustments, EQ, Clear Voice, etc.) but it doesn't make a difference.

Well I saw this problem mostly with .mkv files like you says but I believe I notice with some blu rays too... Is that normal??

I'd be surprised if it happens during blu-rays. I wish it wouldn't happen when watching .mkv files but it looks like we now have two data points to show that it does happen, so maybe it is "normal." I swear it happens at regular time intervals. I was watching one night and started timing it. It seemed to occur every five minutes.

Try changing the TV to game mode and let us know if that helps.

well is very strange this, but not happen all the time, is in some fast movement in the movie, I don't know it's the true motion... it could be???

Everything looked better to me when I turned Tru-Motion off.

I suppose it could be the Tru-Motion. You could shut off the Tru-Motion and see if you get the stuttering and lag. If you don't get it with Tru-Motion off, it's probably the cause of the stuttering.

I have tried to reproduce the problem and have failed. When I see the stuttering on screen I rewind the movie to replay that section where it stuttered and it won't do it again. Without turning off Tru-Motion, try this:

1. When this problem occurs rewind the movie and try to reproduce the problem. See if it happens again in the same place. If it does, then turn off Tru-Motion, rewind the movie and see if the problem goes away.

OR

2. Turn Tru-Motion off and see if you see the problem.

Again, is this when watching blu-ray or DVD's? Or is it when watching downloaded content via the USB input?

Very nice. I know that your settings are unique to your room and lighting conditions but would you please share your picture settings with us?

Help! :-(

I have the same problem you have with the sound after firmware update. I have to turn volume up to 90 to hear anything no matter if i connect dvd player, TWC box, DVHS player, Laserdisc player. I've gone thru the menu settings with LG three times, TWC 4 times. The picture is fine. I checked all cable connections and even swapped them and even connected each one at a time to see if I could isolate problem. I have a LG 47LW6500 in master BR and it is perfect. That is why I bought the new LG55LM7600. Why doesn't LG recognize there is a problem. Others have posted same problem on this forum. Please post if you fine a fix for this mess. I understand things happen, wifes don't, on new purchases. Note: I connected my Appletv and sound is perfect on any HDMI port. figure that one?

Love that game! 3D mode is incredibly cool. I'm only about a 1/3 of the way through it.

I think the LG7600 in Game mode is too bright. How did you get UC3 to work in ISF mode? Relabel the HDMI input from the PS3?

UC3 is uncharted 3. Great game. I tried the 3d mode briefly, but I wasn't too impressed.

Caloyzki,
Somebody else asked earlier, but do you think you could share your ISF setups? I could understand why you wouldn't, though, given that you probably paid a decent amount to have somebody come out and generate those settings for you.

Hey Guys,
I'm new to the forum. I just picked up a 55lm7600, got rid of my Samsung 46ln750 lcd from a few years ago. The capacitors went bad as they seemed to for many Samsung TV's and Samsung's unwillingness to do anything put an end to me doing business with them. I did repair the problem myself, but in the process got excited about the idea of getting a new TV and finally decided to go with this LG model. I am very happy with the set, I think the picture is great. I do have some flash-lighting issues though that I would say are medium noticeable. When I crank the dimming to high and lower the back light, it gets better, but not perfect. To be honest, I prefer brighter settings and don't feel I should need to settle on this issue for a TV at this price. The issue appears in each of the top corners and then along the sides at the bottom, right in line with where there are rear screws holding the panel in place. I finally had enough of it after watching the Dark Knight on Bluray. It just sticks out like a sore thumb now that it's on my radar. I didn't want to return the TV and enter the panel lottery, so I called LG and the agreed to send a tech out. He arrived today without prior knowledge of these issues on LED TV's. He had read about them in his bulletins from LG. LG's instructions were to disconnect video source and see if problem still existed, it did. Then take the back off to determine if the problem resided in the panel or the case/cabinet. We took the back completely off, and the issue certainly gets better when you manipulate the cabinet, it didn't appear to be a panel issue. So they are going to start with a new cabinet. Fingers crossed that this works. Does anyone else have any experience with this repair? I've read on some other threads in the past that they were replacing panels on Samsung's, etc.

Thanks for the input
Joe

Early on in the thread, somebody did an analysis that suggested the PC input label resulted in the least amount of lag.
