Thank you

I've been trying to enter the service menu on my 47LM7600 but I can't... I have 2 universal remotes, an RCA, and one from a pansat Sat receiver.. after using code 10856, both remotes are able to turn tv on/of, change channel, and adjust volume, however if I try holding down 2 or 3, it says unit must be in TV mode, so I go to TV mode and all 2 or 3 is doing is changing the channel... did the recent firmware update kill the service menu entry?

How do you select Game Mode on LM7600 ?
I don't see that option anywhere?

ok scratch that... I seem to have gotten it to work with my directv remote, but now it's asking for password (4 digits). How do I find that?

Never heard of this but I went through 4 of these some had more bleed then others the one I have now has 3 spots. These TVs are expected to have some tho being edge lit but a light bleed isn't bad. I don't think there was a recall tho.

Mine is a august model however tbh the first one had like 10 spots second had about the same, third only had 2 but one was so bright I almost cried. The one I currently have has 3 but they arnt that noticable with local dimming and only noticable if there is no light on in the room and I am watching a really dark movie. Tbh I almost debating returning this one to cause lgs qc is horrible, but I just don't want to go through with it anymore and decided to keep it. I think everyone has some bleeding somewhere tho I doubt there is a set without it cause boy oh boy I treid 4 all with different manufactuer dates.

RE: 7600 vs 7200

The 7200 is a 60" version for the same price as the 55" 7600 at Best Buy. Trying to figure out the major difference. Any information is appreciated.

I work at Sears. We carry the 6200, 6700, and now the 4600 (economy model 3D with no smart features). We had availability problems with 6700/7600 in august and september but the LG rep never said why. Also none of the in-stock ones were recalled, though we never had more than 1 or 2 in stock at a time. I recently purchased a 47LM6400 (Costco/Sams club model) which also has absolutely no flashighting or clouding-unlike my Sony EX-710 which was pretty horrible.

Do you have a 6700? (You posted it no longer is working)

You are right. Just saw the model 60LM7200 at BB. Could be the 60" version for 7600 without the ultra-thin bezel, which is not a bad thing at all considering the price. The bloated contrast seems a bit less, 9M on 7600 and 7M on 7200.

No, plasmas are PM. LMs are LEDs. Can't find this model on LG's website though, probably too new.

I am actually returning this one I notice it more in a dark movie even with a October build date. That's number 5 I am really thinking of giving up until better tech or I wonder how many exchange s best buy allows anyone know.

I was watching avengers and I noticed in a top middle part of the screen a orange/ yellow glow coming through the picture. And so I pushed to a black screen and bam a huge flashlight but its very orange y. I don't know I can exchange again cause Bob has that DL policy now. Otherwise I might have to be stuck with it but I can see it even playing halo 4.

I saw that before and it says LED LCD Cinema 3D Smart TV at the top, so quite clearly not a plasma.

I turned on TruMotion to "clear" (I think that's what it was). Is that how I can activate the "240hz?" I know it's just a native 120hz panel, but I can't seem to make the soap opera effect show up.

Also, what are good settings for the TV? I currently have eco-dimming to off, and the picture on standard. I have windows in my living room.

When you switch inputs (eg. PS3), is there any way to force the 120hz/240hz to turn on? I want to have that on when I watch netflix or youtube (since with the new FW update, I can't find those apps anymore!).

Thank you

Hi sorry to sidetrack but i noticed on page 32 someone mentioned that the youtube app overlays some vertical bars on both sides of the TV when viewing a non-16x9 aspect ratio video in either Full or Zoom mode.
Does anyone know of a fix to this issue?
Seems when we access the Quick menu, we can truly see the video being played in full screen mode. However, as soon as we exit the menu, the bars come right back over the video.

any ideas? or solution?

thanks,
C

Yeah...I got that. I was just pointing out what appears to be a LG flier.
