I haven't had a chance to tweak ours after having it installed, or take pictures for that matter, but seeing that it dropped $200 is a nice surprise. I'll have to make a BB tomorrow and get a partial refund.

Pictures forthcoming.

Just got my 55LM7600, it will be delivered Friday! Also the guy there showed me how MW3 on split screen will actually show player 1 a full screen and player 2 a totally different full screen on the same screen... 0_o hopefully you get what i'm saying! haha none the less pretty cool stuff!

I don't think the set actually comes with those glasses, unfortunately. I got six sets of standard 3d glasses, and the store didn't gave the dual play glasses. Did the MW3 image look stretched when you did dual play? I think old school games will actually work the best. You can play them in a 3:4 format, stretch the image across t he screen, then enable dual play which will stretch the image in the other way to make it seem normal.

I got this set today, and it looks beautiful. The only issue is that there is a bit of funky light behavior towards the top of the screen and the top right corner. It is not noticeable for the most part, and I'm not sure if I'm going to try to swap it out.

Here are a few shots from my iPhone. I'll get better ones posted too. We're auditioning new cabinets which will get the remaining stuff off the floor and provide more storage. And, of course, I really need to dial in the picture and sound(bar) settings.

I'll have to check when I get home tonight, but I'm pretty sure everything but the PS3 is set to standard. I used one of the settings posted in this thread as a baseline and went through the picture wizard to tweak modestly. That's all I've done so far, unfortunately.

I do not notice any blurring or judder at all. I normally keep the clear motion off for shows and movies as I also do not like the soap opera effect. When watching live action sports (specifically golf and baseball) I'll turn it on and the results are fantastic. Very clear picture!

My LG 47LM7600 was delivered yesterday. Picture needs a little adjusting, but the whole package is damn sexy. I cringed when I setup the Kinect as I don't have a proper place to put it, therefore it ruins the look. Put in Transformers 3D and overall the picture looks better than my old LG 47LW6500. I could sense while setting it up that I've made the home theater setup way to attractive to everyone else in the house.

I got my 7600 (55 inch) today. So far so good. I went for the 7600 over the 6700 to get access to the TruMotion controls and to get black bezel instead of the silver the 6700 has. The first thing I did was check some of the things other people on here have complained about or commented on, so here we go...

- TruMotion settings are there. I have found that leaving TruMotion off for general TV watching is the best so far. Haven't watched any sports yet.

- Light bleed. I do have a tiny bit of light bleed on the top of the screen. It's significantly less than some others have posted and definitely not enough to make me want to return the TV. It's not even noticeable unless I'm looking for it.

Other things to note:

- Glossy screen. It's glossy, but not crazy. I can see a light in my living room reflect in it during dark scenes. It's not causing a glare though so I'm not sure how big of a deal it is yet. Your experience will vary greatly based on how you light your room. It was daylight when I started playing with the TV and didn't have any issues with reflections or not being able to see the screen.

- The blacks are pretty black. Blacks are good even on the "low" black level setting. Much better black levels than my 7-year old SONY I upgraded from.

- Picture. Out of the box colors were washed out. Simply adjusting the color slider fixed the problem. I have done minimal picture tweaking and already I'd say the TV looks just as good of not better than my old TV. No complaints about the picture and I'm sure it will be even better after I tweak some more.

- Media streaming. No issues streaming video straight from my NAS. No PC in the middle. I've only tried xvid so far though.

- I have not tested 3D because I don't have a 3D disc to test with. 2D-3D conversion seems to work but I highly doubt I'll ever use it.

Problems:

I only have 1 problem so far. The optical output does not output DTS. I'll have to connect a separate audio connection between my Blu-ray player and receiver to get DTS. I'm not sure if any other formats are not supported as I only have 1 Blu-ray to test with so far. Maybe someone has figured out a solution for this, but the manual does say the TV doesn't support DTS.

Overall very happy with the TV.

Overall very happy with the TV.

I am using optical out, and I don't think I am getting any kind of 5.1. My receiver just says logic 7 movie, but it is also a pain in the ass to work with and I might not have set it up correctly.

If you want to try some 3d, the tv can download some demos. Press the home button and go to an icon that says "3d world" or something along those lines. You can also see it if you press the settings button and scroll to the right.

I am using a wired connection and Netflix plays perfect on my Vizio and PS3 so it is the TV. The two main apps I use on this $2200.00 TV now are useless. I am still within my return period so looks like it may be going back to Best Buy Tomorrow. The picture is amazing so I am torn on what to do

I have the same problem today .... I performed the update yesterday and today I was watching Black Hawk Down, I exited out and when I selected the movie again, the movie loads up 25% and just freezes!

Attachment 243398

This is same for all the movies I try to play!

Update:
I exited the app, powered off the tv and now it's working fine as usual.

You should be able to find some 3D videos online for your LG TV that you can put on a USB stick and test things out. 3D trailers etc. glad you're enjoying the TV and that the problems aren't overly significant.

Since I have had the 7600 I have performed TWO software updates. It is possible that the first one added this functionality. I do notice the manual states this TV does not pass DTS but this is just not the case. Makes me afraid to update again and have it removed , much like Oppo just did with ISO file playback.

As a video media file player the 7600 rocks. Except for ISO files it can handle anything up to a 20 mbps which is as fast as you would ever need for glitch free playback. If the 7600 would play FLAC files it would be my complete media streaming solution but alas my Oppo will need to handle that!

One last thought on DTS passthru: It is possible it will only pass DTS core when playing back locally connected media, such as USB sticks or hard drives that are connected directly to the 7600. DTS may not function if it comes from DNLA or thru the many Smart Shares the TV can access. Just a thought. Try putting one of your DTS files on a USB stick and see if the TV can pass your audio thru the optical or not. Good luck!

Did you have to set any options to tell it what kind of audio you want passed through (stereo, 5.1, etc.), or does it just work out? I'm running HDMI into my tv and then optical to the receiver, and my receiver only ever says that it is using some kind of pro logic, even on sources that I am 95% sure have 5.1 sound. Then again, my receiver (Harman AVR1600) is an absolute piece of crap and I'm about to send it back for the third time.

They said they will be sending me a 1650 this time, which I believe handles 3d. Hopefully I can then skip out on the whole optical out dealie.

My receiver doesn't have HDMI (it's older) so I was planning just feeding all the audio from the TV to minimize the amount of cables. The best thing I seem to get from the TV's optical output (when using a HDMI source) is dolby pro-logic, but no true 5.1 feed. There's almost no options for the optical output, you can only select "PCM" or "auto". I'll try a software update.

That's all I get too, and I believe that I have the most up-to-date software. Like I said, however, my receiver is pretty unreliable. I'm actually sending it back next week and having them replace it with a slightly newer model, so I'm hoping that I can run everything through the receiver without any problems after that.

It's amazing that with the amount of money people spend on these types of products, they can't be made in a way that consistently works.

For those of you that label your input as PC for better framerates, do you find that you can no longer set how 3d is done? I have a few channels that use splitscreen for 3d. When I am in pc mode, clicking 3d immediately puts you into 2d>3d mode instead of letting you select the different kinds of 3d formats.

I get DTS and Dolby 5.1 surround from both local file playback AND from my Fios HD DVR. The DVR hits HDMI 2 of the 7600, then my optical out hits the Denon. NO special settings used although my Fios DVR is set to "Surround" in the audio options screen. So basically, with any source I can pass DD or DTS 5.1 from the optical and have been doing so since day one of turning on this TV.

Thanks for your extensive reviews Marty!

While playing video files off a USB port, can you set the picture mode to "Expert1" or "Expert2" ? I have access to only the builtin preset modes ...

Nothing I tried worked for me. I even de-activated Netflix and started over . Called LG and was told he would call me back with an update and I never heard one word from them. I now own the 60 inch Sharp and Netflix plays perfect and the picture is just as good as I had on the LG. No 3d but really do not care about that.

Ah I see .... thanks for confirming; I changed the vivid mode to expert mode calibrated settings .... It works, but the extra flexibility would have been great.

I placed my oder for the 47LM7600 today and will pick up Tuesday. I have been strictly Panny Plasma guy for the past 6 years, including a 55GT for 3D viewing. This will be my first ever LED/LCD. I am looking forward to exploring the differences. Ill post my observations if anyone is interested.

I'd suggest Sears.com They have the 55lm7600 for $1699 + free shipping. You won't see the final price until the final page of the check-out. Link in through a site like Chase's Ultimate Rewards (if you have Chase Visa) and take the extra $68 cash bonus + use your Sears / K-mart rewards number for 17000 ppoints ($17) for a grand-total around $1613 + tax (on $1700).

Visa gives the 2x warrantee but if you prefer Discover link in through ShopDiscover for 5% cash back at Sears.

Looks like LG has a 3 year extented warantee for $162 if you like extended warantees.

I have to tell you I am pretty damn happy with this TV (47LM7600). I have showed off to many friends who own other HDTV and they all said the same thing. They are impressed with the picture (both 2D and 3D).

One thing I did not notice until now is the settings Dual Screen Gaming are not enabled yet. When I go to that it just says something like feature not enabled yet.

Anybody else noticed this? Anybody else have an idea when it will be enabled?????

Also, curious to see what people have their 3d settings at.

I just ordered mine and will recieve in a few weeks. Hopefully more owners will post pictures and calibration settings they are using!!

Quick question for owners who are using the TV stand with the TV.

How high is the bottom of the screen when using the stand??

I have a center channel speaker that is currently in front of my TV I am replacing. I am curious if the speaker will be too high and interfere with the botton of the picture?

Any measurements would be greatly appreciated!!!
