Well, $20 US and one LG chinglish sub-contractor later.......
As [someone] rightly said, it would seem There isn't a problem.
I find the light leaking out of the top of the tv can be offputting in certain situations, but apparently it's not a fault.
Something to do with it being an IPS panel, which is much better than VA; except it bleeds light a bit along all edges.
Didnt really follow the dodgey english of the repair guy on that one, but there we go.
he did access engineering mode or something, run a bunch of tests, and tweak some firmware stuff to improve the picture a bit
(although probably nothing you cant do through all the settings yourself somehow).
Sometimes fiddling with the Aspect Ration can help.
Still, worth the money for my peace of mind i reckon.
If you're looking to try some good settings, the best i've found are at:
Dont follow any links, just scroll down until you get the only set of settings actually on the page.
Some guy has set up the full 20 point IRE. DMBatCOFC is the guy who posted them.
Regarding PC; I haven't experienced any lag. I've connected it up using HDMI, and when it works, it's great.
My problem i think is the raedon 4200 graphics card, because half the time i get no audio. If you go into windows sound settings then
the green bar is bouncing around, so audio is being sent, just never getting picked up the other end.
Fiddling with drives/etc/eveything, i found that decreasing resolution, or refresh rate can sometimes magically produce sound.
Possibly the HDMI cable is getting overcrowded with data?! not very technical I know, but i can't think of anything else.
And I'm no noob with computers (not massive experience with hdmi though).Edited by DodgerB - 4/19/13 at 4:00am
