is there a reason why real cinema is blacked out on my settings? i cant access it with the bluray plugged in or my hd reciever

So my warranty on my 47lm7600 expires in 3weeks. The service tech just left and is ordering a new Panel. I didn't have horrible flashlighting and bleeding but it was there and very irritating at times. I figured I might as well get a new panel before the warranty expires. Hope this panel isn't worse than the one it's replacing.

Can somebody tell me what are the default Sports picture settings please?
The 7600 has no default sports setting.

I only turn trumotion on during sports, everything else has a manual debug and judder setting or you will get the dreaded soap opera effect.

What brand of NAS allows this TV to access content like photos, etc? Thanks. SJ

All of them.

Be more specific. What are you trying to accomplish, or what problems are you having with a particular NAS?

So I have a 60LM7200 (seemingly identical to 7600 series) that has mild flashlighting and clouding that has gotten slightly better. However, I cannot operate the TV with LED local dimming off as it becomes visible during dark scenes.

Around a week ago the clouding seemed horrible, plainly visible. I called LG and the third party installers told me they would order a replacement part immediately. The next day I cleaned the screen and gently massaged the affected areas. It seems to have gotten much better. Still visible in some of the corners and I do have mild clouding.

Question is, should I risk a replacement screen? What do you guys think? Install is scheduled for Wednesday.

Is there a reason that you have 8 copies of the exactly the same message?

I flagged it for a moderator to look into. If you did it on purpose, knock it off; It's not funny in the least. If you did it by accident, or if there's a server malfunction, he can help figure out what happened.

I feel your pain somewhat. I'm nearing the end of my 30 days with the Sony KDL-60R550A, (A 60" sony using LG's passive tech.) and I have the following:
  • Beautiful picture
  • Inky black letterbox and pillarbox
  • ....and yet great shadow and dark shades that don't collapse to black
  • No flashlighting

But
  • Once in a while a DSE rears its head with 3 bright blobs on the screen....bright scenes, especially lightly colored scenes that pan.

Now I have the torment of risking a return and getting a worse panel.

BTW, have you noticed just how much bigger a 60" seems than a 55" ??????? Takes me by surprise every time!

Sorry wasn't very specific. Anyway decided to just install plex on a Mac mini and attach the NAS to it. Works great on my LG TV. SJ

Wonder why the update to the android remote app is no longer available to my Asus tablet.

I used it more on the tablet than the phone. Hope its just an oversight of some kind.

The 60 rocks!! Now here is the stange thing.. I thought a majority of my clouding / flashlighting was resolved... Until I just turned on the TV again.. The lower left and upper left corners had extreme clouding (may have been flashlighting but the pattern looked more like typical clouding). Once again I got my trusty screen cleaning towel and gently rubbed the corners.. Within a couple of minutes it was reduced to barely visible.

Is this a panel defect or manufacturing defect? Again, I worry that my panel is decent and the replacement will be garbage.. Can the techs do any testing or will they just replace the screen?
So quick update.. Of course the service techs now claim that LG rejected shipping a panel until they had more proof.

I thought everything was OK until today- When the clouding / flashlighting was the worst I've ever seen. All four corners were bright..

Has anyone heard of flashlighting randomly appearing then vanishing? This is rapidly becoming very annoying.

I didn't notice the problem as bad when the TV was sitting on my stand before I mounted it. Could mounting the unit effect flashlighting and clouding?

Tech called today. They received the new panal and will install on Sat. Fingers crossed its not worse then before.

Is anyone here using the Hulu Plus app without issue?

I just started using it a couple of days ago since I signed up for a free month of Hulu Plus. The app is very nicely designed and navigating through the menus produces no lag.

I'm having a big issue with the actual streaming content, however. Well, two issues:

1. When the content pauses for an ad break, it always seems to struggle with replaying the content after the ads are over. It will play the ads, and then load the content back up from the starting point, play a second or two of the start of the program, pause itself for 10 seconds, and then return to where I had left off. All in all, this process takes longer than it does to view the ads, so this is rather annoying.

2. Sometimes, either directly after returning from an ad break or just randomly, the content will freeze and will stop streaming. This lasts about 30 seconds, and then it replays again but stops two seconds later only to do the same thing. It very much feels like there is a buffering issue, however I've turned the quality down all the way to the lowest possible and it still freezes and cuts in and out.

I have a 50/10 Mbps connection and am hardwired into my Gigabit router, and I have no issues streaming with other devices. Has anyone ever had this happen to them, and if so, how did you fix it?

Good luck. Until they start the t.v. you won't know. My fingers are crossed.

Have you used Hulu plus before on a computer? I did and had the exact same issues, for some reason I don't with Hulu, just the +. Everyone can't be having the same issues or they wouldn't sell subscriptions but I did on my computer. (I too have a fast internet connection, I can stream anything...)

So another quick update.. I convinced myself to return the TV to Best Buy.. But, after watching several movies last night noticed nearly NO backlight bleeding or flashlighting.. The day before it was unbearable. This morning it is great again.. I've never seen random flashlighting.. Has anyone heard of this? Could it be related to the temperature in my house? I'm trying to figure out the cause. Here is a picture of what it looked like when it was bad.. Today, that same picture would yield no flashlighting in in all corners, and slight light bleed on the right side, which is bearable and makes the unit worth keeping. I am concerned about this popping up again though.

Hello,

I have connected two devices to my TV, an Onkyo HTX-22hdx and a Samsung HT-D5200 (Home Theater/Blu-ray system).
I intend to use the HTX-22hdx for audio, and I have set it up with ARC enabled. The HT-D5200 is just for blu-ray, and I have enabled HDMI Audio to send the audio to the HTX-22hdx.

The issue I then run into is that the TV chooses to turn on and use the HT-D5200 as my ARC device if both the HTX-22hdx and the HT-D5200 are connected when I power on the TV. Whether the HT-D5200 is connected to the HDMI input on the HTX-22hdx or the HDMI input on the TV does not matter; it happens in both cases.

Also, the HTX-22hdx is connected to the HDMI input labeled ARC on the TV, which is why I find it very odd that it chooses to use the HT-D5200 when that is not connected to the ARC input on the TV.

Shouldn't the TV only use ARC on the device connected to the ARC input on the TV? And there doesn't seem to be any way to choose which device to use when multiple ARC inputs are connected?
