55" is small ....Now that is funny
I have accessed the EZ Menu and In Start menu and enabled DTS in the settings. On my receiver it shows that it's working in DTS or Dolby (depending on what setting I choose) but I'm having a problem with random audio "shorts". The sound in DTS or Dolby mode will mute completely for half a second. I'm beating my head against a wall trying to solve this issue. I am in engineer mode running 06.03.09 so I'm thinking it might be a firmware issue. The only other thing I can think of is and Optical out hardware issue. Do you experience any cutouts in audio? Any possible solutions?
I have ruled out source problems. I have a Mac Mini, PS4, and PS3 all exhibiting the problem when using the pass through from the TV. When connected directly they work properly. I have also tried using a different receiver coming from the TV and the problem persists. This leads me to believe this is a hardware or software issue of the TV. I'm glad I ran into this forum and found out that this TV is at least capable of working correctly as a DTS/Dolby pass though. I feared maybe there was some sort of hardware or bandwidth issue. Is anyone using the latest engineer firmware?
I know this features has been around for a while I was just thinking maybe the newest firmware had some kind of glitch. Is doing the hard reset the same as using the in-stop function on the remote? Thank you for all your help it's rather hard to find information about this kind of stuff online.
Can you provide instructions on how to install engineer firmware. I am having trouble with arc audio (audio over HDMI) after the latest update 06.01.03. I currently am using a Harmony remote and can access the ez_adjust menu (service menu) in_start and in_stop (restart).
Thanks in Advance.
